I'm heavily involved in my professional society (IEEE) and helping organize an awards banquet for Saturday. I'm completely freaking out. I can't, Can't, CAN'T wait until about 10pm when the last straggler wanders out of the hotel and I head up to my room where a good friend will be waiting for me with a cold drink and a warm... well, anyway, damn do I ever want this to be over.

Volunteering is great and everything but when work and life is already incredibly hectic, you really start to regret the commitment.
