Well I still can snowboard, I didnt break anything, but it hurts a lot more when I fall!
 
So I was in the craft store buying materials to finally finish my modded Warthog, and the cashier lady started getting snippy with me for no reason. So I immediately put my shit down and walked out.

WHAT IS WITH CRAFT STORES AND SNIPPINESS. It seems like every time I'm at one of these, either the employees or the customers are unbearably shitty. No other store is like that. So weird.

So apparently there ARE bladeforums patches left...but there is some sort of hassle/holdup with shipping so Spark aint sure what he's gonna do with them

Get ahold of Slapper, BeckerHead slapper here on the forums. He had a bunch at one point. Maybe he still has some. I'd probably email him.

Going to work on some custom gear for myself soon, belt, owb holster, survival tin pouch, new machax sheath and make a guess and be damned bk16 scout sheath. I've ordered in some some sharkskin and elephant hide to see which one I want to trim with. The sharkskin was slightly painful but I can make some pretty stuff with it, elephant hide however...... wowsers. One ear hide damn near melted my credit card. Definitely will measure 25 times before I even think about cutting that stuff.
 
been practicing my sharpening skills (more like lack thereof). My BK2 was a lil dull after batoning thru the china steel LOL


watched some vids, pulled out the Smiths TriHone (?) and set to work. That trick with markering the edge really helps! I was WAY off in my angle...really different angle that actually removed the marker then what I would have went with from guessing!

It shaves now, slices paper clean. Not perfect but I'm just shocked I actually improved it! I usually can take a sharp knife and dull it by ''sharpening''


...Now I need to pull out my 14 and see how sharp I can get the thin blade ;)
 
Yeah I've got a Smith's too. I found I really had to take my time on that thing to get a decent edge. I just picked up a Norton stone a couple of weeks ago. It's a whole lot quicker. Only needs a few strokes. I still like finishing on the ceramic rods on my Smiths.
 
Just picked up a new day pak for my ski trip. Got a north face terra 45, last years model for almost half off :)
 
I thought so, I didn't exactly need a new pack but all the ones I had are too big or too small for my trip. I think this makes 5-6 packs now.
