WALL-E said he needed to borrow a pocket knife...

Hope yall are having a good day! I know I am, yesterday was my last day of the fall semester, now it's time to dig the work bench out from under the pile!

Yeah, but it's gonna be awesome though. The best in ages... In other words... I'm a victim too :'(

A this point there is more evidence for disappointment than success in this franchise.
Too bad, for 2.5 movies that defined a generation. (Jedi only counts for 0.5 because of the stupid finale)

Different director this time around and pretty much all of the first comments are great. Unlike those on phantom menace,... Most critical reviewers seem to put it behind ep 5, before 4 and 6 (and of course before the prequels). A new hope :D. I've got my tickets for tomorrow

I never liked Star Wars in the first place.

This. Not too many space type programs/movies I care for. Star trek, Battlestar Galactica, none of them. Give me a good western any day of the week.

I kind of peripherally notice the advertising, but since I don't watch TV or have cable, FTM, It's pretty easy to not really pay attention. I'll probably go see it, because I have no expectations, really, and most of them have been entertaining, that I remember. '77 was a long time ago.....in a galaxy far, far away.....;). I actually saw 4, 5 & 6 sometime in the mid eighties all in one evening at RIT, which is a National Technical Institute for the Deaf. There were interpreters on both sides of the screen, the sound was cranked up so the multitude of deaf people could feel it in their seats.....and they talked all through the movie, totally oblivious to how much noise they were making....it was still fun. The laser bolt interpretations were my favorite, with the interpretation for Chewy a close second.

This is so cool.

We need to make a permanent Firefly thread. We could photoshop Beckers into favorite scenes for relevant content.

I don't watch TV either, and I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan. I saw all but Ep.IV in the theater...but c'mon...how can you miss the ad on the check mix at the gas station? Like nobody has heard of it...freaking Disney has saturated the entire galaxy with everything star wars so much that I'm sick of it. Honestly a few years ago when I saw angry bird Vader I got pissed and its been downhill from there.
I can't wait til Sunday! I better go ahead and get my tickets now tho...crap! Hope it's not sold out already... I don't have any more days off til Jan.1st...

I didn't say I hadn't seen the advertising, I just said it's easier to ignore when it's part of the background noise. I just don't direct my attention to it, I guess. Kinda like with my wife.

Like Firefly.

But Han Solo is just like Mal except instead of a crew he just has a big hairy alien. :D
So instead of a Crew, he just has Jayne?

That does sound awesome! I know personally I would HATE to do that!

We don't get Fireflies in Australia. We do have mozzies the size of seagulls though..

😂

Oh yeah, sweet Tundra WW. Love those Toyotas. Just love Toyota trucks in general. Used to own a 91 Hilux 2wd. Had it for 10 years when I was landscape gardener. Thing was a meat axe. Used to take that thing everywhere. When I'd go out bush doofin' I'd just leave all the grass clippings and leaves and crap in the tub and cover it with a tarp so I had a ready made bed. Loved my little ute. Only sold it because I cracked the chassis somehow. My buddy that bought it fixed her up and now she flogs around in central Queensland..
