Bought a Weber Smokey Joe for camping and whatnot. Going to be testing it out on some brats as soon as the charcoal is going good.

My wife and I were watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were in bed.
I turned to her and said, 'Do you want to have Sex?'
'No,' she answered.
I then said, 'Is that your final answer?'

... She didn't even look at me this time, simply saying, 'Yes..'
So I said, "Then I'd like to phone a friend."

And that's when the fight started...

Just spilled my beer! Nice one!

Good to hear. Seems like a well built little grill. I have another one that is an off brand from wally world that is pretty flimsy and the air vents are all above the coals, so it won't get very hot.

Anyone else watching The Bridge. Pretty cool series about a cop in El Paso and a cop across the border in Juarez. Christine and I used to spend Jan/Feb on El Paso in the early 90s climbing in Hueco Tanks. The world has changed.

Haven't seen The Bridge but Hueco Tanks was amazing when I was there in the early 2000s. Went with some climbing buddies and bouldered for a few days. Most excellent place. We walked over to Juarez one night to have a good time at some shady local establishments. Good time.

Yep, your Juarez trip sounds familiar! LOL That place has turned into a real war zone recently. What problems did you do in Hueco? I guess the access ban was in place? We used to live out of the state campground for months - now they won't let you stay for more than a could of days. It was either the state park or Hueco Pete's back then. Man, those were very different times.

Check out The Bridge, you might like it.

I'll check it out.

As far as problems go, I can't remember any of the names. Been too long. Most difficult problem I sent there was v5 (v5 is the hardest I could ever send anywhere outdoors), one of our buddies had been there a bunch and was our guide, took us to all the classics, we went ALL over that place. Three days climbing all day. Was amazing. We camped on the west (?) side of the tanks at a camp ground that was set up for people visiting the park (all climbers). There was a house there with a camp ground nearby. I still have my 'I watched the safety video' card somewhere around my house.

Picking up my new passport tomorrow. Need it if I hope to go to Wyoming for a climbing trip at the end of next week. Getting into the US has understandably become more challenging. Used to be ok with a birth certificate or a drivers license. The times have tragically changed.

Nice! Glad you got a chance to check out the whole park. It was so cool when you did not need a guide to see the whole area.

Lots of climbing in TN and it just so happens to be the state where there are some important Beckerhaed gatherings!

I was at Hueco Tanks in '98. Neat.
Used to climb in White Rock, NM, top-roping off the edge of the Mesas. It was like being in a climbing magazine.

If those are the micarta ones I sent you I'd like to point out that they're Saints Cutlery scales not the Ka-Bar ones.

Hmm, I might. those were the film days and cameras were cumbersome to carry, but my computer is about 1500mi away right now. Might have some scans.
Never been to Enchanted Tower, but I wish I had.

even a DSLR and a video camera that you don't used on a mere flight is a backpack of junk one doesn't need... kinda surprising...

hell, even an afternoon of walking around with gear you don't use it getting very annoying. i can't believe how heavy my work bag is someday. seriously. what? the laptop is like 15 lbs :P
