Ok I gotta ask. I keep seeing and have a few old butcher knives with what looks like a gouge in the spine. At first i thought it was just a beat up old knife. But now that I'm looking i see it a lot. What is that for?

Got a pic for the clueless among us?

What happened to the old SNARK thread? :P I go away for a short bit and I come back to a completely different look and new management!

Ah, I see it!

In on 4!

I think you've discovered a rather hush-hush secret: butcher knives of a certain era had to fight it out among themselves to qualify to leave the factory. Every one that survived got some mark or another.
Kinda like having older brothers growing up lol

I'm in a very bummed out, very pissed off mood tonight.

The back door to my equipment shed blew open and my red heeler spice got out.

I told my mother to go out front and look for her while I went out the equipment shed door and started looking for her from that direction.

My mother spotted her down the road and called her to her. The neighbor's daughter was riding her horse in their lane. Along came a damn bitch in a full sized pickup at a high rate of speed and while gawking at the horse FLAT RAN RIGHT OVER MY DOG.

I was not 30 yards behind the pickup and the tail lights on the truck never came on until AFTER she ran over my dog.

The bitch claimed she tried to slow down, but I said "BULL,,,,,, your tail lights never came on."

I will never answer an EMS call or fire call to her house. They better hope I'm never the only EMT in district.

Well, Spice was a 53# red heeler, as big as many 5 or 6 year old children, so she could have just as easily run over a child with her inattentive driving.
