Are these made from thinner than normal stock or just blunt as a splitting maul?

Pics are pre-scandi grind on the blade. That final grind isnt done til the knife is almost finished.

Hey Allen, is that two Kestrels in your caddy? Can you give specs (steel, thickness, liners, tang) of the one on the left?
 
In the "Knife Caddy #2 - handle shaping" picture, is that a Runt four in from the left in slot #7? Or a Palmer?

Looks like a burl wood, is it osage burl? Its not the osage kestrel from last weeks WAS Wednesday post. The other one looks like its the Bolstered Buckeye from this weeks batch...
