Yeah .. Hiking Buddy. That Orange Shadetree is obsolete stuff now. Ken was able to piece some scraps together w/bolsters.

Gonna be a stunner for sure.

Gonna have to change your username then. :(

LOL

Please STOP making so many cool knives, I can't afford it!

Hush you! :) He needs to keep making them till I can afford all the ones I want, then he can stop :)

He'll be working clear through his 80s lol

Ok Vance, are these BC Jrs.? And what are those handle materials? Yes, I know is a type of wood ;)

It's a cool one. I really wish Shadetree would make that orange again.

Bushcrafter jr & awesome

I have no idea... I just make them look pretty :)

Maybe wenge on the top one... The labels have been ground off by the time I see them

Mist .. they're both BC Jrs .. I put one in a group pic just below a regular BC. Wood is Lacewood (I think) and Curly Oak.

Definitely but pretty sure I saw fod mention something about it being obsolete now and he cant make it any longer.

:thumbup:Nice batch, thanks for sharing Bud. I like the Runt with what looks like some type of brown wood and a black bolster, pictured next to the crimson one with a bolster.

Addendum: Actually, I think it's some sort of micarta, maybe Terracotta?

Is it Electric Orange (no longer made because there isn't any more of the burlap to be bought) or is it the new Tangerine?

Thanks guys. Man I love the looks of the wooden handles...I should still stick with synthetics I think for the purpose I have in mind for this one. Ideally I'd love to duplicate the handle on the full sized one I had and had to sell. But since I have spent the better part of two years trying to talk Andy into making the BC Jr. The first one to sit still too long in a Friday post will get snagged by me :)

If ken made it work with bolsters
It's a good possibility that it has been resting in the scrap bin for awhile

Allen, that stag loveless hunter looks amazing!

Thank you! It is a true one of a kind, collaboration knife between me and Jim,all pre heat treat work done when I was at the Loveless shop by both of us, heatreat, scales, and bringing to this point done here by me, shipped out to Jim today for his touch ups and makers mark, then back to me for my mark and to treasure forever!

Hey wait, what's the prance bolstered one Bud? Looks like a hiking buddy but smaller.

I think that is the new ss minnow

The orange burlap is the new tangerine.

The woods in question are lacewood on the top and ash on the bottom, 99% sure.

Here's the pics of the scales from last week ..
