I just wonder if the use of 'custom shop' is going to cause issues with being able to spec out specific handle materials. With the new shop, more folks, a better understanding of the supply and production chains and more storage space, it would be interesting to see if they could put say 5-10 true custom orders of standard patterns in the process for the week. Not sure how to fill out the order book, track it and all, but it may be something to think about in growing the business long term. I'd probably pay a $50-100 premium to ensure I got what I wanted instead of sharking and hoping. Now, I'm not sure I'd pay that much to get it six or eight months out-- but I might to be able to put together a collection to rival Bud's runts.
Remember, my business advice is probably worth about what you paid for it....(And with the cost of your time factored in, you probably lost money reading this.
