Today's visit to Da' Forge was pleasant as always. Lots of joking and laughing at each others expense. Band of brothers who always seem to have a running joke or two. Good times. Couple super sneaky news tid-bits coming .. even got a pic of one - the other was too hot to touch. I wont be making a Sneak Peek thread next week - day job already has my Tuesday planned next week. Not sure I'll have a full leather sales thread .. but we'll see.
The warm weather has definitely left North Georgia. In case you dont recognize that young fellow to the right, that's Andy's nephew - he's been working at the shop my last couple visits, but I haven't given him the privilege of being photographed yet. So .. that's him. He hasnt made enough of an impression on me to remember his name either. Cody, Body, Jody .. pffft .. Nancy. hahahahaha. Oh .. and that's Chris teaching Allen the peripheral limitations to wearing a hoodie.
Found Phillip taking a break from answering yalls emails/PMs/telegrams .. and hanging 'balls out' with Thor on the couch. Tough life of a shop dog.
Knife Caddy #1 was at the etching station where David was applying the 'maker's mark'.
These are from Knife Caddy #1 .. but they were still in the hand sanding phase.
Knife Caddy #2 prior to Glue Ups
Knife Caddy #3 - handle shaping
Knife Caddy #4 - next batch ready for Handle Shaping
So .. if you're still with me .. here's your super sneaky peeky pic. Old School Nessmuk making a come back.
The 3FJ-Belt Knives were fresh from heat treat and too hot to touch for a picture
The crew (and Andy) stay current on the forum and see yall's feedback on patterns you'd like to see make a come back.
Here ya go ...
More blades fresh from the cool down racks .. see the pile of super thin Scandi Hiking Buddys in there? yeah, come on!
I'll just leave this picture r i g h t here .. comments? Top to Bottom, Runt, Palmer, Palmer patter, 'BP' pattern.
Osprey Knife & Tool Caddy .. colorful!
W.A. Surls knife Caddy .. Palmer-licious
