Sneak Peek: Fusion Steel Heart Pics!!!

why new Fusion Steel Heart no full height grind??

It is important to note that the blade of the new Fusion Steel Heart is over 2 inches wide!!! That means that, eventhough the grind on the Fusion Steel Heart is not full height, it still measures out to be approximately 1.55 - 1.65 inches high, making the just the grind bevel on the Fusion Steel Heart much wider than the full overall width of most other knives of the same length and intended application!!! This gives the new Fusion Steel Heart superior chopping and cutting geometry!!

Also note that if you're a die-hard fan of the full height grind, then put your seat belt on and deploy your air bags while you prepare for the other version of this awesome blade, the new Magnum Fusion Steel Heart!!!

Pics will be forthcoming. . . . .Stay tuned!!!

That's what I'm talkin' about   :D ! Where is that drooling smiley when you need it .

Jerry, those black linen handle slabs on the satin FSH are the magnums?!? If that is in fact a magnum handle, it has definitely lost its contour compared to the black and tan handle in the old pic. The handle on the new pic looks much flatter, as I would expect the standard handle to be; in fact, the handle on that one looks no different from the handle on the black coated standard thickness FSH in the earlier pic. Is it possible that the black linen handles on both of these FSH's are standard/non-magnum?

No one else notices this?

if you look at the edges of the handles, you'll see that the second pic's handles have more rings to them, indicating that they are about twice as thick.

because there isnt much side lighting, and because its almost a dead on shot, its fairly hard to see what kind of contours the handles on the flats.

Seth, you're right. So I guess that's the "new" Magnum handle. I definitely like the contour of the old Magnum handle better. Disappointing. It just doesn't have the same mojo of the old one.

It may not have the same contours as the one you are familiar with but our testing has proven that this handle contour is more comortable and less fatiguing than the other.

Hope that helps,

Jerry
