Sneak Peek New Swamp Rat Entry Hawk...(cool pics)

would it be possible to get a costom that has a longer handle? *add a second handle section*

not sure if swamp rat can use the custom shops facilities, or if costoms are a possibility...

as is, awesome :D. hope it airs soon :)

Still loads for me. But, I've noticed BF can be rather finicky with pictures.

Eric is going to be away from his computer, at least until tonight and possibly longer.

Ahhh...

His server was on the wonk.

Here, I've replicated them below just in case. :)

Swamp Hawk! Swamp Hawk! Swamp Hawk!

Uh, Mini too, but I'm a hawk person . . . Sorry Dwayne. :)

Whoah! fantastic! I want one.

Is that a cord wrapped handle? For something so large and heavy, which may be chopping with a lot of force, I would greatly prefer a resiprene handle, or even a micarta handle, over cord wrapped. If you can make this change on the final version, I would appreciate it.

Either way, I want one.

Count me in as a definite for purchasing this model. Put me on the list.

Oh yeah... Respirene-C handle please! I love that stuff.

Cord wrap is awesome too, but not for extended use (ouch).

With those four big lashing holes, I think a pair of scales could be put on pretty easily. :)

By the way, regarding the finger grooves, please keep in mind that not everybody has thick fingers and super-wide hands. I've experienced lots of finger grooved knives which were uncomfortable--or even unusable--because the grooves only fit folks with broad hands and meaty fingers.

When this goes into production, can you make a version with finger grooves for narrower handed people and a version for wider handed people? Or, if you only make one version, just please don't make it only fit super wide handed, super thick fingered people.

Thanks.

As already mentioned this thing looks awesome! However, as mentioned above I doubt I would want a cord wrapped handle on a high impact tool. Resiprene would rock in this application if it was contoured correctly.
As far as S7 goes, it's been a long while since I researched it (college days) but from what I recall it's one tough s.o.b. of a steel. They make chisels and jack-hammer bits out of that stuff. Seems to just get harder the more you pound on it.

After looking more, I definitely want one. Only thing I dont know about is that cord wrap (hate the stuff for chopping), might have to add my own handle scales..
