My oldest graduates from high school this week...I've got to have the "hey community college is great!" talk with her....Will these knives be for sale or only display at the Blade show? I've got an Atlanta connection ready to head down there for me...just gotta narrow my choices down..
New line looks great :D

Hi eric

what kind of steel is it? sr101 ??? how thick is the blade?

Nicolai

what steel, how thick, when will it be available for purcase???

defintely going to buy the satin rat... was waiting for the satin jack tactical for a long time, but after i got the howling rat decided it could wait... but now with the satin rat... that im going to definitely buy.

Thanks guys,
The Safari Skinner (not pictured) will be the first of our new line to be introduced. The rest will follow this summer (sorry guys they are not immediately available and only prototypes of these will be at Blade)

The Steel on these 3 is SR101
Thickness on the BRT and CTT are 1/4"
Satin Rat is 3/16"

A certain old song comes to mind after my talk with the boss the other day...."I owe my soul to the company store"

You guys are killing me!!!!!!!!

shhhhhh, dont tell the other guy, but I like these better!!! :footinmou

Summer, eh? that means if I save all my money, I might be able to afford one... that is the only think wrong with being a young high-school student, not enough cash for blades!

Thor

Start mowing lawns, Dr. Thor--when I was 11 I made $1200.00 in the summer and that's in 1989 money! ;) Takes up some free time, but you're your own boss, at least.

Wow now I'm really going to be broke. Does Jerry know you guys are doing this It looks like SRKW is taking over the Busse line. :D :D :D

Eric...

Damn..

There goes that new hottub I was about to order!

I seriously like those knives....

ttyle

Eric....

Thanks for the advice t1mpani. I wont have any trouble getting enough money. I almost think having to wait for blade makes it all the sweeter to get one. And with not much money to spend, i do alot of research before I buy. And I also buy Swamp Rats! :D You definitly get your moneys worth!

Thor

Impressive!

I noticed that the handle of the SRTs closely resemble a Micarta version of the Bog Dog handle. Is that a new direction you’ll follow for future models?

Are the specs for the “Tactical” the same as the standard line?

Is the Satin Rat the equivalent to the Howling Rat?

Which in turn closely resembles the micarta handle of the Busse Active Duty. Hmmm... ;)

As to the specs, they're the same overall. The SRT line is going to be slightly heavier and more centrally balanced than the original line, due to the exposed tangs and micarta. The Satin Rat actually doesn't have an original Swamp Rat counterpart--it takes its design from the old Busse Satin Jack.

Shoot--FHA beat me! :)
