I'd like to have a non-camo hat. I'm not wearing anything camo anymore, since I've never been in the Military.

I was in a bar, and I was wearing a pair of camo shorts. A couple of Marines that had just gotten back from Iraq came over to me and asked where and with whom I had served, in a very confrontational way. I was sitting down at the time, but sensed what was going on (they were looking for a fight), and immediately stood up to look them in the eye. It diffused the situation somewhat because they realized it might be more trouble than they had anticipated.

I talked to them for a few minutes, and they considered it somewhat disrespectful for someone who had never been over there, or even served to be wearing camo.

Given the current atmosphere, I can see their point of view. They were basically saying, "If you are so gung-ho about the war, why don't you get your ass over there and help out."

I can't really blame them.

*Hats do vary by manufacture and we cannot guarantee a perfect fit with the use of this measuring tape. You can use a flexible tape or make one from paper and measure around the largest part of your head where the hat would sit, right above your ears.
