sneaking out

cool set up.

i got my overnight gear down from an eagle 3 day pack (2500+ cu) down to a kifaru scout (1000 cu). I hope to take it down even further to fit in a kifaru tailgunner (900 cu)

looks like fun :)

one little "winter" tip- some small beeswax candles (the 8 hour ones work great) really add heat in a debris shelter or snow shelter

they are light and don't take much room, just light them for a bit till the temp rises (which shouldn't be too long w/ a "tight" shelter), blow it out and repeat as necesary

sleeping bags seem to always be the achilles heel when it comes to volume in a small pack- wouldn't do for winter, but the AMK thermolite bivy does a pretty good job in a little warmer weather- it would fit nicely in that pack I'm sure

Nice set up RR.

I don't think anyone will get you confused with an ultralighter carrying that Becker!

Have a good one!

Brandon

PS That leuku you sent me is one hell of a knife!
