SNG and UMNUM Collaboration

It's called the XM-18

I have one and while it's a very nice knife, I'm not a fan of the spanto blade and it needs a real choil. I carry my SnG and Umm waaay more than the XM-18

That would be amazing.. And maybe add a steel or Ti liner to the G10 side..
The SnG family is probably my favorite knife design but spotty QC and linerless G10 side have kept me from pulling the trigger on one..
So instead I went with a XM and couldn't be happier with it.

If CRK and Strider made a knife together I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy it.

I have 2 Striders a SnG and a PT. The quality is good on both (not saying some Striders don't have issues) they just aren't CR quality, if you know what I mean. The lack of Ti liner on the G-10 side shouldn't be a issue. The blade will snap well before the G-10 will. I have never heard of anybody breaking the G-10 on there SnG or any Strider for that matter.

I really can not see the connection. Both are tough knives with S30V blades, but I am not sure what aspects you like from each...because they are quite different IMO.

I could suggest knives that are great frame locks...but I am not sure what the value would be without knowing what you are after.

The statement that you do not want to F up the CR or the SNG yet leads me to believe you have not used either extensively...perhaps you are not even at a point to know what you like (or don't) about either? I was pretty surprised at what I did NOT like when I started using my knives for hard work...perhaps you will be too?

Thanks for the advice, ill start using the strider a lil harder. I just like the feel and look of both knives, and I am a little new to the knife scene, so dont know all the knives out there.

I agree. I sent Tom Krein the knife and he fixed that right up. The F&F on every Strider I've owned has been marginal, and eventually has driven me nuts. CRK does it right and I think Sebbies are brilliant. The blade on the Umnum leaves me colder than cold.

I didn't like the Ummnum blade shape either, until I saw the TNK tanto le version.

J.Mattson, Guess just a preference for me. I did look up some specs for comparisons of the two. Thank you, I'm more educated with the two materials than before. Thats why i appreciate all the replies! How much do the Rockstars run for?
