Both brand new, never sharpened, no screws messed with or anything done or changed from the way I got them. Not flicked, knifesturbated, or drooled on. New style lockup, alignment is ok. No problems noted on either but neither has been used though.

SMF is GG *Sold*

SNG is plain jane. Paid $400 Will take $375 plus $20 for UPS insured.

Both US, lower 48 only.

Payment must be USPS or major bank MO. No Pay Pal or personal checks.

No trades for standard, run of the mill production knives in aus 8, S30V, S35VN, Elmax, etc. Something unusual or custom ( not customized production).

By the way, I had to get a couple of good sharpenings to the knife ( the green one I'm keeping, not the black one for sale)before I found steel that had the performance I expected. When new it had wear resistance ( no chipping at all) about like a CPM 154 blade buck or kershaw. After the second sharpening it was responding more like the CPM M4 Contego @ rc 62-64 in feeling on the stone, performance on cardboard, etc. It was a very substantial difference.

My opinion is the powder steels are affected more by the power sharpening process than ingot steels. My O-1 BHK @ rc 60 was the same from first sharpening on. Likewise the Spyderco mule ( Cruwear @ rc62= same composition as Z wear) didn't show any really noticeable difference either. IME, S30V is notorious for this ( best performance is after a couple of sharpenings) also.

It's a great steel and I'm going to keep the green one. It's the best combination of toughness and wear resistance for the SNG I've had yet. A good CPM M4 would be it's best competitor, along with 3V for my idea of what a hard use folder should be.
