I'm thinking about ordering a Strider SnG.

Always wanted one and am in a position to be able to get one.

What are your thoughts on this knife?

Thanks.

You are about to start a HUGE flame war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D  ;) Either way, I love them and carry mine everyday. It is an awesome knife and in my opinion is better than the *******. Didn't want to say it and get anyone mad. ;) You won't be dissappointed:thumbup:

Too small for some.

Fairly tough knife for size.

Many people swear by them.

A lot of money for the product. Don't have one anymore.

Great looking, strong folder! However I would handle one first, because the handle(s) of the Striders might not fit your hands.Unfortunatly I know this firsthand, and I think the SnG and SMF are some of the greatest looking knives ever! It's just the SMF was too big and the SnG was too small for me.:(
P.S. the Buck Tarani and/or SBMF is the same aprox, size as the SnG, so if thats comfortable, then go for it!:D

samhain73: +1

Not everyone will like the knife for many reasons. Just like any other knife.

I own several high-end folders. Wouldn't trade any one of them, but the SnG is, probably, my favorite. Can't give any reason except that it looks and feels so good in my hand, cuts great and is tough as hell.
I just bought a second one to send to my nephew in Iraq. He saw and held mine and fell in love.

Personally, I'd get the larger SMF, unless you need the small size of the SnG, the SMF in my opinion isn't just larger, it's a better knife overall. I know they are very similar in design, but having owned several of each, the SMF just strikes me as a slightly tougher, more robust knife, either is a great choice, but the SMF is the one that really appeals to me.

I also love my Sng... as i've said before i have alot of knives that i like but am too afraid to use... because i dont want to de-value them... but the sng... theres no choice but to use it !!! buy one ! do it do it...:D

Two of my favorite-carry folders are the Strider SMF and the Buck Strider 882 Tarani in plain edge.

The Buck Strider 882 is an outstanding folder with same blade size as the SNG. The 882 lacks the eye appeal of the SNG - and it's a liner-lock - but it's such a good performer that I wouldn't even consider replacing it with an SNG.

For those seeking value in a brawny folder, the 882 is an outstanding knife.

I've owned four of em' so that should tell ya how I feel. The cool thing about this decision is if you buy it and don't like it... simply sell it and take maybe a $20 or $30 hit providing you didn't mark it all up. I wish more folders had the choil behind the blade.. I love that feature. This is one bada$$ folder - definately check it out!

It's my workhorse knife. Use it to cut anything heavy duty at work and home. Small in size but big in usability. I mod mine to make it less "tactical": satin finish the blade, toned down the ano, and sanded down the G-10.

SnG was my first Strider and it got me hooked - i have 33 now.

They are incredible knives, backed by incredible people.

I bought an SBMF this Spring and absolutely LOVE IT!

I've been thinking about an SnG too.

I've been liking mine since getting it from TNK a few months ago.

The only thing I'd prefer is a polished blade. Not a huge fan of the bead blast finish.

Looks good. I think I may have to give that a go myself one of these fine days.
