I posted on this a few weeks back, but not enough folks jumped on the bandwagon (people!). This was right after Sniperboy got a zillion rave reviews for her art work in a post started by Gary Graley. I've suggested a dragon (like the one on her site, which she didn't draw, but could certainly do in her own style) wrapped around a balisong (I know balis aren't Chinese, but it would look cool). Only if the thought truly moves you Sniperboy. Of course t-shirt or print sales would go a long way in defraying the cost of a 49SPL or two (one to put away, the other for prying open windows).:cool:
 
Look back a few weeks for the post by Gary Graley. There's your poll. If it is meant to happen, it will. In the mean time we'll just have to pine away for the ultimate in bali art (sigh).

just for the record I HAVE done shirts before, didnt think they were too popular - but then again I didn't do it to corner the market either... it was a fun project - didnt offend too many people :)

i've done a prelimenary sketch and put it up on my cubicle wall to see how it looks just "being" there.. hope it works out :p

ofcouse I wencome suggestions.. but migh tbe limited since I am not THAT good.. no 16th chapel type reuests please :)
 
Kick-ass S. Hows about this?... A square frame taken up almost entirely by the lowered, contimplative face of some dude. In front of the face (unproportionally large because of perspective) is his hand intertwined with a bali. You've got a talent for positioning fingers with balis to show that it looks as if the person knows how to use one. Maybe let the bali sink below the frame for effect.

Alright, maybe that was too specific :) I'm just thinking of what feelings your sketches seem to raise in me when I look at them. That sort of "Silent Ultra-bad-assness" topped with a confident smirk look :cool:.....

I'm definately getting a BOX of these shirts. :D
 
well.. hopefully it'll come out before the holidays :p

Just wanted to note that I have finished the pencil sketches. now comes the ardened task of inking (yeuck) and computer CG colouring.. (DOUBLE YEUCK). Why am I an engineer.. at least I didnt have to go thru Calc 4.. eww what a beast that must have been.

are most of the masses looking at a black or a white t shirt? I am thikning of doing both a [good] and [evil] variant shirt, and leave it at that..

You didn't take calc 4... you slacker! I supposed you skipped out of quantum as well. Well... only about 5 more years of this to go.:p

To keep the view of the bali as positive as possible, the guy, despite being a bad-ass of course, ought to have a "peacekeeper/epic hero" look about him...Most of your sketches i've seen do this pretty well anyway, so i'd say we're lookin good! Keep up the great work snipe, and keep finding them bali's!!
 
Looks great to me! I love drawings, especially in anime and similar styles...I am impressed with your work, S! I really like the idea of a [Good] and [Evil] shirt...I'd have to get one of each, to wear depending on which mood I'm in! ;)
 
I can tell by yor logo PFrog :).. thanks for the compliments as always Masse and PF. Heck why stop at good and evil..let's do it in all 54 flavours :p and we can serial number it too (maniacal laugh)
 
Wow a black shirt with a silk screened drawing would kick serious bartholemeu. I'm up for the pair two. Thanx again, can't wait!!
