Spyderco folks - It is time to deliver some sort of Military sprint runs / dealer exclusives. I don't care about compression lock Military or Military 2. Just the old fashion linerlock Military with red g10 and black DLC 4V should make me happy.

The big boy Military definitely needs some sprints! Bring back the fluted titanium too on it or fluted anything, cf, whatever.

I'm sure ST. Nick's has paid attention to the Military exclusive sales history. The Knifeworks S90V CF/Ti framelock (still one of the all time greats) took forever to sell , Even with a couple steep discounts. KWs CTS-204P Military also took a while to sell out , I'm still kicking myself for not getting that one.

That being said, Maybe SNKs could do a smaller run of the DLC 4V Red G10 military, Like the Lil Native and Shaman. I'd buy one! :thumbsup:

Interesting that SNK can turn out their 4V models at very reasonable prices, but Fradon’s 4V Manix was insanely expensive and languished for months and even went through price drops...CF or not it wasn’t worth it at $240.

I wonder how much “guidance” Spyderco gives on pricing or do they just take the request and say “ok X quality will cost Y”?

I don't know, I'd jump all over a SNK Military. I believe the Rex 45 version went really fast.

If you were in the business of selling things, and you knew that you could sell $200,000 of product at the snap of your fingers, you would figure out a way to do it. Otherwise you don't deserve to be in business.

The Blade HQ Jade DLC CPM M4 Military was in stock for a few weeks, If not longer. I've already mentioned how long the Knifeworks Exclusives were "around". The Rex 45 Military at $181.00 Map was available at numerous vendors for a good amount of time, And BBS (At Map) for a few months.

Point being, These smaller shop know that the Military and Manix 2 XL don't sell that fast and are more hesitant to tie funds up in an exclusive. I'll start a poll here on the SNKs Military 4V in the next couple of days. Maybe someone who belongs to Spyderco forums can do the same? !?

Good points.Not everyone likes large blades like the Military and Manix 2 XL.
 
Military never sells as fast as PM2, for two reasons: size and price. Can't do much with the size otherwise it would not be a Military model. But dealers can set the price more wisely. I feel given the same material, $20 more than PM2 would be good. So, $195 for dlc 4v red g10 Military.

I'm not sure if this is a matter of "like", who doesn't like a big blade? Probably more so a matter of state/city laws and being afraid of scaring people when you use the knife. I'm carrying a Manix 2 XL this week, but then likely nobody will see it but my wife.
 
With the price of PM2s these days, I’m afraid the Exclusive Military would be priced way north of $200...don’t know how motivated I would be but I know hardcore fans wouldn’t care :)
 
Isn’t a free dropper like some of my other PM2s, gonna need to be broken in.

I saw on another forum where someone answered yes! I need to pull mine out to compare the color between the two, But I'm guessing it's the same!
