Sorry for the name in the last pic. My friend takes them for me and likes to tag his name to the good ones...

Next is Arches National Park... did about 14 miles of primitive trail hiking. great day.

I climbed up a short rock face to get a look around from the top of a sandstone fin... coming back down was a bit sketchy. That slickrock is angling away from my landing spot and towards a 30 foot crevasse. The only place I had a good foothold was from well above where I'm perched, and I eventually had to jump from it down to my pack. Probably about a 14-15 foot drop. Very sketchy indeed. The friend I had there taking pictures was nervous, but laughed it off by saying that if I had fallen and died at least he would have had it well documented!

Sorry if having these posted in two places is a bad thing... just thought everyone would like a look at them. :)

Some nice artistic shots, you could sell that last one to Kelty!

Haha, Andy was joking about that while I was fearing for my life... and that Kelty pack has been with me through multiple countries and 5 years of traveling. Its still in perfect shape, not a loose thread or broken zipper tie on the thing. Great pack!

Yeah, I love Utah. The desert just intrigues me for some reason. I'm not a spiritual guy, but there seems to be some sort of spiritual quality about it. Hard to explain!

Here's a link to a slideshow my buddy made with lots of pics set to music...
