Woke up to a beautiful world this morning. Reminds me of Adak Ak. Wait Adak does not have any trees taller than 10'. And only about 20 of them at that.

I finally got a real truck after 15 yrs. I love it. The old ranger finally gave up and I had to do this one right.

Oh man, I live in NY and my ole lady loves snow but I could do without it, I hate driving in it and I love being outdoors on a warm sunny day. Sure is pretty though. I lived in Schenectady for a short time a few years back, it is close to Albany. It happened to be the worst winters in years and I had to dig a tunnel to get outside of my apartment!! No thank you.

I love that pristine beauty of a new snow. Very nice....

Lol, people try to tell me horror stories about winters they've seen and I try not to laugh at them now that I'm up here. We've got over 8 feet on the ground right now, and we're getting an average of 16 inches a week. Last winter we had a record 36 FEET of snowfall :)

I'll tell you what. You have not seen pristine snow until you witness it on endless Alaskan tundra in person. Rolling for miles pure white, no prints, no roads, no people and perfectly silent except for the ravens cawing for their friends. It was also breathtaking in the volcanic rock tundra of Iceland. I love fresh snow and miles of pure white. I hate shoveling it out of the driveway though and forging in it really sucks. Thats why we live here now......

Chuck, Looks like you got an inch or 2 more than us. Ours has just about melted. I hope there wrong about this next storm.

Ray,

Ours it starting to melt a little. The wife is paranoid about driving to work tomorrow so i had to clean up the truck so I can take her in. If we get another few inches most people around here will be stuck. Is a nice change of pace though. Nice to just look out the window at the hill out back. Very tranquil.

You're right about the Alaskan snow Chuck. It's really amazing seeing that much unbroken snow as far as the eye can see, especially on in the mountains above the tree line...

I love the beauty of a new snow. And it looks like the dog is loving it as well. Great Photo's of the snow. Thanks for showing it to all of us. But I will still be happy when its summer here again. :)

I'm jealous! I'm only about 20 miles north of salem and we didn't get a bit of snow... I did see some trucks with snow on them on the way to work today tho.

When it snows here (It did yesterday) all the kids wait for school closures on tv the next morning. HAHA (6 Inches and the world stops)

We got 8" of snow last night and Cape Cod got up to 11". But,25 miles west like Providence, RI only got a dusting.:jerkit: Guess where my snow shovel is. Yep, in my pickup's bed.

Yup, Schools closed here too. 6" is kind of funny to think they close down everything. IG I got rid of my snow shovel when I left Alaska. This snow is a real oddity for the area. But i probably would not shovel it even if it needed to be. I just drive up on it and pack it down until the thaw.

I heard you Bro. That's why I got my Quad Cab 4 X 4.;):D

Yeh I picked mine up in Sept. Drove momma to work this morning. She did not want to chance it. Not that she could not do it it's the other drivers I worry about.

Keith, I grew up in Schenectady. There I said it. Let's never speak of it again.

I do like snow though. I figure as long as it's gonna be cold out, may as well have something soft to play in. Last year here in Vermont we had a wicked blizzard on Valentine's Day. Left about 3 feet of snow on the ground. Made the shop kinda hard to get to...
