Who else is getting the white stuff? The Southeast is getting hit pretty good right now.

After being promised snow for a couple of days without result, it's finally coming down. I bought my boy a new sledding saucer, and he's going to be excited to use it tomorrow. Also likely is a snow hike over by the lake. If we go, I'll be sure to take along a Becker or two and post up some pics. Might even try that new military canteen set-up with some fire gel for our normal hot chocolate stop.

Post those snow pics if you've got 'em! I'm going to bed finally now that I'm sure school will be cancelled tomorrow. :p

I lied about going to bed. :p Growing up in the deep south where snow is a treat (for some at least), it still makes me feel peaceful and a little like a kid. I went outside and took a quick and dirty pic on our patio with the iPhone.

Northeast...
I think this was Saturday monirning. It's fresh on top of the remaining gunk from the earlier blizzard. Then we got more then next morning, even fluffier - perhaps another 4".

Happy Snow Day!

Hey Guyon and Daizee.....

My East Tennessee neighborhood has about 4 inches at 8:30.......Looks like a lot of SHOT Show prep will be compressed into the latter part of the week.....Oh well it sure is beautiful on our ridge....I just wish my Susan's birthday gift was already here......We could get some fantastic pix.....

All Best....

Yup, woke up to about 6" of snow here (according to the ruler and my back porch) closed schools and I had to go to work still. Gonna bad later on, but pretty good to drive in this morning.

Snow day, yup, we got a snow day.

From Texas... I can't believe it. I was wearing shorts up until yesterday. Sorry nothing as scenic as your shots. Pure burbs.

just 10 feet of sunshine here. blue skies. we have a front coming, and they promises 100% snow over two days. i'll believe it when i can see it.

thing is, i've got igloos on my mind, i can guarantee nothing will happen.

also sledding. got me my hopped up sled with that flourinated slipper compound on it. i'm faster than any sauce (though the kids spray their dad's WD40 for a little boost ;>). the old fat guy still beats them. my sled is a Porsche kids ;)

No snow here in central Kentucky, but school is still out! As a teacher, I'll be able to enjoy snow days for the rest of my working life.

We didn't get a lot here in Tulsa... just a light dusting, but the surrounding suburbs felt it was necessary to close schools today.

These guys should see what it takes to shut down an Alaskan school...

Following the school bus fiasco in the blizzard of '03, we can see a couple of snowflakes and the schools shut down. The politicos and admins are still skittish after that one.

About six or eight inches of snow here too. I've been out in it all night taking pics. When I get them off the camera later I'll post them. All of these in town, maybe to the mountains tomorrow...

Howdy neighbor.. !!

Its a light dusting alright but its still coming down.... suppose to get 3" I know my kids will like it, especially since I let them stay home with me today, besides we live on a hill and it can be a pain sometimes driving them to school in icy conditions :D..

I'm gonna get out and try my fire skills with wet wood...

HA! A cute little dusting for sure. Ya'll should have been up here in Michigan for the last few days.

I don't know if I am getting older or what. I use to love the snow, but we just had two storms roll through in the 2 last weeks. 1st duped 18" and the last about 8". This damn storm hitting you souther boys now is gonna be hear tomorrow night and promisses to dup atleast another foot.. I have had enough allready....:grumpy:

Here was the scene in deep east Texas this morning. Wanted to get a shot of the yard before my 3yo son started making snow angels. 3 hours later, it was all gone.
