Snow, Snow, and more SNOW!!! Yuck!

We had an incredible thunder storm roll through around 2:30 this morning. The first crack of thunder was so loud that it shook the entire house. The lightning that preceded it was such a bold blue color it filled the entire neighborhood with an eerie light. I was so happy that I was still awake to see it.

I figured this thread deserved bumped

Winter started off good, hell on Christmas is was about 50 degrees and it looked like we were going to have a nice mild winter, unlike the BS we had last year.

Then we started getting colder weather, snow, touch of ice. Then that damn groundhog saw its shadow and all wintery hell broke loose. MORE snow, ice, -20 degree weather. Complete shenanigans again

All cause that damn rat in Punxsutawney

^^^^ same here in Quebec. Average amount of snow.... But it's darn cold. We beat a 20 years cold record last year. This year is colder thus far. im tired of getting up in the dark, freezing ,morning. having to defrost the car before heading out.

Mind you..... Spent many years working graveyard. No fun getting up at 11:00 PM, while the better half snoozes under the warm covers. Heading out in the freezing middle of the night....AND .... Spending the night outside.

.....winter.....I despise thee:mad:.....;)

We set a record for Feb. yesterday. -17 degrees without the windchill. Now that will wake you up in the morning.

Yep. December wasn't bad. In fact, we did not have a white Christmas, and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are the only 2 day I actually want snow! January was relatively mild. Then that ground rat in PA saw his shadow and the crap has hit the fan this month! Yesterday was only 1 degree off from setting a new low for that day in February. Normal high for yesterday in this part of Ohio is 40 and we only hit 14. Temps below zero with wind chill -20 and lower at night for a couple of days. A bit warmer today but the white crap is coming down pretty heavy. I'm going to have to get out the snow blower a bit later.:grumpy: Al Gore and all the other libtards who have been yapping about "global warming" can stick their warming ideas where the sun don't shine - and I don't mean in Ohio!;)

Normally, January is the coldest month of the year here in Ohio. Just about the time I began to relax and thought the worst of this winter was behind us, this crap hit! And there is no end in sight according to the weather forcasts!

From what I have heard we set a new record in are corner of Ohio. -17 degrees. I was out for a few minutes in that temp and could feel the cold starting to bite at my skin. Stay warm down there.

JDE....

I know that the U.S. is no more spared by winter than Canada (well, the southern states are) ..... But....I almost feel like saying " welcome to Canada, hey !":D

In Minnesota last week we had -20s or 30s. Maybe I'm thinking with the wind. Maybe not. Who knows? It was colder than a "Witch's Titty" out there.

Nice today though. But it snowed..... Meh.

Lake Superior has frozen over. Been a pretty good winter overall, but change is coming as the nights are shrinking and days lengthening. Spring won't be long now.

Southern Ohio (just north of Cincinnati) currently has about 5-7 inches of snow on the ground with more falling all day. Someone please remind me why I left Texas?!?!?!

Just south of you near Oxford. Finished shoveling and it's all covered over again.

My complaint. Its so warm on the west coast, the trees are blooming. There goes my allergies.

I am expecting well-deserved boos from all of you in the mid-west and east coast - so have at it.

P.S. I did spend two winters in Valparaiso, IN, so know what you all are going through. Hope you have a much warmer March...;-)

Yup..It is what it is!
Working outside is a lot tougher tho...fortunately work has slowed down.

Spent an hour and a half with the snow blower earlier today cleaning my driveway and sidewalk and those of 3 neighbors. About the time I finished, it started snowing hard again and dumped about another 1" to 2" where I'd just finished. I said to heck with it and put the snow blower away. I'm not doing it all over again! My one neighbor has back problems so I do his driveway, another is a single mom, and the other one is a good buddy and we do a lot to help each other out. I do their driveways and sidewalks for free, just to be helpful, when we get 3 or 4 or more inches of snow. I hate snow except Christmas Eve and Day! I want spring to get here and warm weather!!!!
