Snowbound: Time for a giveaway!

mwgbb11 - I thought of giving some kind of hint like that but figured it wouldn't be fair for everyone who's guessed without having a range. I'm thinking of giving the knife to whoever is closest to the actual number of chips, but for now let's just plod along & see what happens!;) Thanks for the suggestion, though. Good luck!

since no one is getting it i will hazzard one more guess, how bout 184? that has to be it....

The dog woke me up & had to go out. Figured I'd check on the picks - still no winner.:( It seems that this number is soooooo unpopular that it should never be played in any state's lottery pick three! I have visions of this number sitting out there saying, 'Don't pick me! Don't pick me!':D

kenster - Believe me! I'm too honest to do something like that. I am truly amazed that the magic number hasn't been picked!

hm.....is this a trick question like "the chips dont exist anywhere, its just a state of mind"?? :D

Oh these chips exist alright! After I put 'em on the table, took a bunch of pictures, counted 'em 3 different times, broke 'em down to how many of each color & started to put all of 'em back in the box; the box fell off the table! After I crawled around on the floor & picked all of them up, the total count was again verified! Who ever said these 'free' giveaways were easy & fun?:D

dang it, i'm sitting here studying my mid term, and because no one is guessing it i will try again umm 178, i think that's it, it must be, well now i prob won't get any answers on it till after my mid term tomorrow.

Mhael
Good luck on your mid term! I hope your luck is better with the mid term than with picking the number of chips!:D

kenster ANOTHER LOSING CHOICE!

dear lord no wonder i loose these things. and my midterm is economics dealing with numebrs, this can't be good. well i will reserve my desire to guess till after i take my test and work with numbers, i so wish i knew if i was close or not. so can we like pick 5 numbers in a post now?

OK, calculating the height of one chip and multiplying by the density of of the square root of the plastic and figuring in the deviation of color into the range and understanding the probabilities of a Wild A$$ Guess I've come to the conclusion that the number of chips is....

206

Thanks for a wonderful opportunity to exercise my limited brain capacity....JC III
