Any 14 owners out there? Interested in acquiring one, but would love to hear your feedback, good and bad.

And let's see some of yours. Thanks.

No pictures, but its my "under 3" carry areas knife" which allows me to carry it anywhere as under state law it is not a weapon, and I don't use it as one

I love it for its purpose. Yes I would like a longer blade sometimes, but that's not the point if the knife. The handle has great ergos IMO, and it waves nicely. It serves a purpose and I edc it 3 days a week.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I am looking for a sub 3" Emerson to my Cqc 7 for legal issues. And I do love the concept of the full size handle to the short blade.

You say you'd like a longer blade sometimes, do you feel a disadvantage of a blade that short when doing tasks?

Personally, I'd go with the combat karambit. Even the Bullnose and the cqc7 karambit are good options

The Karambit is an option, but aesthetically I like the simplistic look of the 14. Now the question is SF or BT lol. Thanks for the comments and feedback.

I can attest for sure, the CQC-7 Karambit is actually a very good EDC option. I find that I've been carrying it more and more lately, about 4 days of the week.

The Snubby is a lil chunk.
I like the Black blade but get the finish that appeals to YOU.

I am also looking at the Snubby. My local knife shop has one and it looks like it will fit what I want it for....at least until I find a Strider PT.

I bought a 14 for those times I might be traveling as well. I've carried and used it a little in the past year. While it is very capable, I actually like the mini 7 better for a sub 3" blade. I have small hands so the mini 7 handle works well for me. Additionally the mini 7 takes up less room in the pocket and waves more reliable for me.

[/IMG]I have a Snubby an estate find 2007 with the back spacer. Great EDC and easy to keep razor edge probably the sharpest knife I have at the moment. Solid build and I like the full size handle on this knife. Mine also is black plain edge. Will post some photos later.

I thought about a Mini 7A actually, but I already have a standard size 7 which I love. Wanted to go with a different knife this time and although the 7 has decent ergos, the 14 looks even more comfortable.

Yes, I also like the concept of the full size handle to the small blade. I've got a smaller knife, but the small handle it has makes working with it a bit uncomfortable which is why I am drawn to the 14. Look forward to your pics.

I just spent a few weeks around Chicago and brought my 14 with me. I wasn't sure of knife laws there so I figured this was my safest bet. The full size handle is nice but mine is serrated so it didn't leave me with much plain edge. Great knife for those times when you need something small but I would highly recommend getting a plain edge unless you use serrations a lot.

Let me know if you end up picking one up!

Funny....I was at the Emerson HQ today and looked at the Snubby's again. I ended up buying a Mini Commander.....Someday I will get a Snubby.....deciding between a serrated or plain edge.
