I did not get one of those. I didnt get an order in at all. Not that I didnt try. Plus Im probably on the "do not sell to" list. I am very sorry you missed out on the knife. It really is unfortunate when things like this happen. I must say though bladeHQ really stepped up with compensation. I have had similar "over sells" happen in the past and never once was compensation offered. And even if it had been I would never have thought such a generous olive branch would be extended. Again sorry, but it would seem bladehq is doing their best to say sorry.
 
BladeHQ and their other site (not sure if I can name that one) have always taken care of me. It's really refreshing to see reports of so many companies going the extra mile lately. It may not be the 0392 you wanted but, that is one heck of an apology. Kudos to them.
 
Sucks that you didn't get your knife, but it's definitely awesome that you got a refund AND a free 100 dollar gift card. BladeHQ definitely does their best to keep their customers happy. Hopefully you can put that gift card to good use soon.
 
Blade hq won't deliver to certain areas based on knife laws. Delivery depends on the zip code you enter and transaction is stopped

Its probably for the best i dont answer that but to say that i will admit to 50% guilt if i am in fact on the list. The oher 50% may still be my fault depending on how you look at it. All i am willing to say about it is that some in this world feel that the only way to be a fan and/or friend of a company is unflinching devotion and to never speak up even when you disagree with that company. In that regard i am not a fan or friend to any. And I can be very vocal and abrasive when i disagree. My only reprieve is i can admit it.
 
I know those folks over there are great. Although the system faltered, that is pretty darn impressive of them. 100$. I would be more than excited and thankful for that.

I would not call that missing out at all. Being given a $100 for free is hardly missing out, I guess I am the only strange one looking at this scenario the way I am.:confused:

No, you are not. A $100 gift card as consolation for not being able to fulfill an order is generous, to say the least. Have you ever heard of anyone else doing that? I certainly haven't.
