Been tracking and waiting impatiently waiting for my new TKC scales for my 16. They were due yesterday and when I got home my wife had already checked the mail and no scales. On the USPS site they showed delivered. So I thought today and when I checked the mail no scales :(
So I guess someone else must have got them.
Bummed that I'm out $50 and have to wait at least a month to try again

I have had that happen with packages. When I called to complain they mysteriously showed up on the truck and arrived very quickly.

usps has often set packages as delivered for me, only to find out they did that "for various reasons", and the package was still in the truck, or at the pickup off...

depending on whether you have a sub or a lazy courier, it's something they do to keep their jobs perhaps

ups and fedex and others have occasionally done that as well

it sucks

complain, demand your money back

Terrible news man, I've had it happen. Feel deflated but, it happens. I try and always request signature now, most are happy if I pay a few extra $$$.

It'll work out, so as others have suggested here.

I very recently (Sunday in fact) had to make a complaint to the local post office. I was awaiting my knife from Daizee which was due to arrive Friday. Due to weather, I understood if it didn't show up, it was crazy bad out. But checking the tracking and it indicated that they made the attempt but no one was home. Funny thing is I was home all day, sitting less than 8 feet from the front door the entire time. Allowing for the few times that I was in the other room, checking the front there were no footprints in the snow. On top of it all, they didn't even leave the "we tried to deliver your package" slip, so I was a bit irked. It would have been one thing to not be able due to weather, heck I would have definitely understood, but to say that they tried when they very clearly didn't was irritating. It was finally delivered, but it irritates me that the policy here is to not even try to deliver a package when you can just have the customer come and pick it up from the post office itself. Give 'em a ring and tell them that nothing was delivered, then raise nine kinds of hell if they try to worm out of it.

Fret not, I think they will still arrive.

I had a few packages chocked full of archery supplies come up and say delivered.....only to have them arrive a couple of days later.

Modern technology is great, and I'm glad the days of just checking the mailbox for 4-6 weeks is a thing of the past, but sometimes tracking packages can give us false positives.

I would just hang back, and see if it shows tomorrow or the next day.

And don't forget, shitty weather is abound......even good ol' USPS can have delays.....

Please don't give up. Easy come easy go should not be taken so seriously!) Challenge the proper authority!

Give it another day. Or call the PO for info.

If it was sent USPS Priority or Flat Rate, it comes with $50 insurance. Since TKC sent it, they would have to make the claim and should ship you another set.

And, if you paid by CC or Paypal, you can get credited back the payment.

BUT, again, give it another day before filing a claim or complaint.

Think positive thoughts. No 'negative waves'.

I've have had the experience of having something shipped to me supposedly via UPS arrive in my city and then its turned over to USPS for local delivery. I don't think USPS is thrilled with that and the local delivery takes longer than it took for the item to go across the country via UPS...Its a cheap way of saying shipping is via UPS when its not actually the case...Its quite irritating...Its listed as delivered but its just to the local USPS and I don't see it for several days. There is no tracking once its turned over to USPS.

Thanks for the comments Guys.
so it turns out that it was sent to a different address. I live in a Circle and they were sent to an Avenue, same house number and zip code.
I talked to TKC and we decided that I would go to the address where the package was sent and ask them if they still have the package. if not, I was told I would get a new set.
TKC told me it was some kind of autocorrection from Stamps.com that changed it, my account detail and shipping address are correct at TKC's web site.

So we will see what happens, at least I know at some point I will get my scales.

Ah "smartpost". Takes six days to get within an hour of your house, then goes halfway back across the country, then back within an hour, then to another post office within an hour, then finally it gets delivered.

TL;DR: USPS consists mostly of bums, especially the ones who came up with smartpost.

Mchip, Glad you'll be getting your scales one way or another.

So, it looks like a happy ending
I google mapped the address since it is just a change of street type and found it is 5 min from my house. So I drove over and knocked and no one was home, sooooo I left a note with my name address and phone number and got a call back from a very nice lady and she said she still has them and was going to put the package back in the mail with "not at this address" and offered to leave them on her front porch for me to come by and pick them up today.
a little hassle, but I get my scales :D

thanks again for the comments. BTW: Dale at TKC seem to be a pretty good guy.

Dale is awesome.

And he has some kind of magic powers of precognition when it comes to ordering. I was once shopping around on TKC, and right when I clicked the submit button, USPS knocked on the door with my package......creepy......

:D

Dale has some fast shipping fo' sho'...

Great news guys, congrat's, and great detective work!

I asked my postman about a package one day and i swear, i thought a lightbulb came on over his head, about an hour later he showed up with it from the wrong address he dropped it at 2 days earleir. He's always been pretty good ol' dude, real concious of weather etc when dropping stuff off.
We're in a really rural area and he's not too lazy to pull up the drive, we're lucky I guess.

Now, slap them scales on and let's see'em, no excuses now!!
