So Bummed

What a saga!
Congrats - you certainly deserve whatever happiness those scales may bring you.

So here they are. I think they were worth it all and now I really have bonded to my 16 🙌
Next up, a 5 and then match the scales on the whole family.

I most certainly do NOT make a point of checking in with the post office every time I have a package expected to arrive because of the insanely cute redhead behind the counter. I get my mail through my PO box but it never hurts to ask right?

ETA: Oh yeah, on topic. I have a couple pair of Dale's scales but they've all found their way onto my 15's. Beautiful! Like the post offic.. never mind.

Glad you got em, this happened to me a year or so ago, usps site said delivered but not in with my mail. I was bummed so I called PO they said they would look into it and two days later they were in my mail box, I guess they must have fallen in a corner of the truck or somewhere else and when they were found I got em. they are to scan them when they step from truck to give you your mail but from what I found is some mail men scan them all at once to save time any way glad they got to you

I think the one here at my local PO is starting to catch on.

Just the other day she asked me ...
Didn't I show you how to use this stamp machine last week?
Me? uh ... noooo.... Now, where does the stamp go again?

Thanks guys.
I really like the orange. These are the Burnt Orange vs. the Tiger Stripe. The picture really shows the orange with the red background, they really don't look that bright in person.

And yea, all my knives are users, no safe queens at my house. That is what keeps me chasing the Becker line, they just scream USE ME! :D

All's well that end's well, right?!

And speaking of the USPS:

I've have had the experience of having something shipped to me supposedly via UPS arrive in my city and then its turned over to USPS for local delivery. I don't think USPS is thrilled with that and the local delivery takes longer than it took for the item to go across the country via UPS...Its a cheap way of saying shipping is via UPS when its not actually the case...Its quite irritating...Its listed as delivered but its just to the local USPS and I don't see it for several days. There is no tracking once its turned over to USPS.

This happens quite often. They get paid from UPS to actually deliver the packages that customers paid UPS to deliver.

The USPS also delivers on Sundays now...they have an agreement with Amazon for their Prime customers to get packages to get delivered on Sundays.

It seems like the USPS is trying to make up for "lost" income over the years by doing these things, but they are only digging a hole for themselves it seems...

I had a box of archery stuff get stuck in Fort Wayne Indiana for a week, just got confirmation it's moving again.

Gotta love weather delays.....

Yeah, that's crap. I live in north Durham county. I tracked my BK14 from UPS to Durham and I was stoked. Then it went to USPS to Raleigh then back to Durham. Added 4 days... I don't get it. It must be cheaper or something but takes a lot longer. Since then I've tracked several packages that did the same with that UPS/USPS deal....

Dang Moose, it'll be bow season before ya get your gear:D

Hehe. Heard that. If your place is like mine there's 6-10 does and yearlings in the yard every morning and evening. GEICO just put $2600 into my car from a heat seeking whitetail. It ran into me!

SurePost and SmartPost aren't intended to be fast - they're meant to be among the least expensive shipping options. I tend to be impatient about getting things I've paid for; but every once in a while my inner cheap bastard wins out, and I accept the free (economy) shipping offers. I do so understanding the options, though (the first time it got snuck in on my, I was pretty ticked). Simple answer: if delivery time matters to you, pay a few extra bucks for a better service.

Yeah, part of the fun is tracking it. I just thought it was really crazy that it came to my city on ups then USPS took it to another city to sort just for it to come back. Seems like more handling and a higher cost for them.
