So does anyone know what pattern will be used for Case/Bose 2008 ?

Kerry or mike,

Is it 4 1/2 or 5 1/2 ? The release from Case there said 5 5/8 closed, but Kerry said 4 1/2 in the bose thread. Thanks y'all

I talked with Tony and asked him what the length was and he said 4.5". I'm guessing the press release has a typo. Plus, when I handled this knife to shoot it, I think I would have remembered it being 5.5" long:eek:

They gonna put a "rattail" on the swayback bolster ? :D.

Back to the size of the knife deal....the press release also says the blade is 3 3/8" long. That would leave A LOT of handle wagging out there if the knife was 5 5/8" long. So, one of those figures is a typo and I am going to stick by what Tony told me on the phone yesterday. 4.5" closed length.

Thanks Kerry! Great Photos of this knife on the bose thread! Your shot made me want one.

Thank you!:) I wish every knife lover could handle one of these though. The images are nice but.....:thumbup:

I see only one problem with this knife.... it is not available till late summer!! AAARGHH! The wait is gonna be tough... but worth it I imagine.

In reference to the swayback, does anyone have a picture of a Case knife with this green bone, for a reference ?
Does the swayback have a pivot bushing in it ?
I wonder if '08 will bring new bone scales to the warncliffe trapper, too ?
Thanks,
-Vince

I don't think the "run of the mill" production models have bushings, only the "custom priced" collaborations have them. But, I have been surprise by my thinking before. Hey Vince, why don't you buy that one on Ebay and let's tear it apart to see how it's made :D

Thanks to Tony's influence, some of the production models have bushings, including the copperhead.

Kerry,
I've been buying too many lately, plus,I have pics of a torn down one, with bushings,to look at & drool over, fantasize, too, lol.
But I did remember in Mike's article on Tony Bose in KnifeWorld,it mentioned the newer Copperlocks had the bushing,I was just curious.
Thanks Though,
-Vince

Ahh cool, well I forgot all about that little ole KW article....life in the fast lane and all that.:D Actually I hope they keep the cost down on the SBJ because I think it would be a cool little knife to buy for non-knife friends to get them hooked. :)

Time to spill the beans.

Please. ;)

Was the bean spillage sufficient? That's about all I got. I think waynorth might treat us to some images of the knife he sent Tony to CE&CF that he patterened this guy after.

Now....the wait till the dealers start poopin 'em out.

Kerry, Has Tony said if he knows what scale materials will be available on the Arkansas Hunter?

Wonderous bean spillage.

Thank you!

I haven't heard that kind of detail yet. When I get that information I will post it and thanks for the question. I hadn't thought of that yet. ;)
