So, How many 112 Ranger fans do we have out there?

While on the subject...How about an option for the PCKS 110 that allows for no nail nick. I would have ordered all mine without a nail nick if it had been an option.

By the way, the 500 Duke looks great without a nick. :)

I have a newer F/G ranger.

My ideal 112 would be N/S with F/G, maybe white micarta or textured G10. Of course, the blade would be BG-42 and not have a nail notch. A lanyard hole also would be nice.

My son has the 112 that I carried after my father gave it to me. It may be hard to sharpen, be we are sure getting our money's worth out of it! :)

I guess I was and didn’t know it. I got one the early Bucklights in 1983. Essentially that is a Ranger (with plastic scales) That was my favorite daily carry knife up until a few years ago. I always thought that it would be nice if Buck put that blade into a kind of scaled-down 110. I didn’t know they had long since done just that. Anyway I do finally have a Ranger. It’s one good knife.

While we're on this subject, what is up with the 112 blade shape? Though I've had a 112 for years, I've been hankering lately for a finger grooved model. Went to a local store to look at one and discovered that the clip point blade is now way more clipped than it used to be, with a much narrower, pointier tip. When did this happen? I'm not at all happy about the change: the new version is probably better for hunting, but seems a little too fragile for all around use. I didn't buy it because I was afraid that sooner or later I'd break the tip off. Is it just me, or is there someone else out there who doesn't care for the new (well, new to me) blade shape?

I am totally on with the 112, just want a titanium slim version like the 560.
....
Did I say I want a titanium 112?
