So how many are returning your BM-42's for repair

I just sent my BM-42S back to Benchmade

after receiving authorization from them. I know Sniperboy had a bad latch, and heard of someone else who had the same problem I did with the latch taking WAY to much force to latch in the closed position. Who else is returning their knives and why.

I had to return my 42AS for a missing washer between the handle and blade. The latch on my 42 is also bent and not cast evenly. Only one lip contacts the handle. It is pretty obvious too. I am suprised that it was allowed to go out the door like that.
 
DAMN THOSE **** malaysian slaves! I am sending mine back tomorrow

I hope it doesn;t take too long.. but I guess I am not in too much worry since I know Jonas' aka 2sharp's new sheath is keeping me VERY happy and I am carrying my BM45 cause it rules!!!

I think I'm the one you were thinking of with the same problem. I'm sending it back, but I've also got some other things to take care of before I get around to it.

My S&W M29 only took 2 weeks for S&W to repair. geez I guess marginal QC is not turning out to be so cost effective for BM afterall

Hello guys.....Of the 5 I've ordered, I've taken delivery on 3. One was dull (fixed that), the other has a significant tool nick on one of the handles. That prospective 2 month turnaround must say something about the workload of the refurbishing dept. Hope my 42A's arrive in sharp and smooth. The only perfect one I have I sold to giar. Go figure.
 
Hey Folks,

With the exception of a very SLIGHT bow in the safe handle, mine is fine.

I would however like to send it back and have them affix a High-Hollow blade to it.

It wasn't with the 42s. Some other bali that I was having them tighen up and sharpen.

No problem here, works fine, came dull, but wasn't surprised at that...

Would like a different blade shape though, might try getting a custom blade made for it
