What some places charge for Xmas trees around here is crazy, although they supposedly donate some of the proceeds to Boy Scouts, Church, etc. We went to Home Depot for the first time this year and only paid $30 for a nice 8' tree. Not bad considering all the lots around here charge $70-$85 for the same tree. So what did you pay this year?

No tree here, only a screen-saver which changes to a crackling fire :)

The life of a bachelor!

paid about $80 I think, but its a big plastic number :p so it will last a good while and its one less tree a year to feel my wrath. Plus with my cat and a real tree he'd have pine needles from one end of the house to the other!

Just got home from dinner, my neighbors have a nice new christmas oak tree, but my yard is lacking.

Free for the last 10-12 years. One of my good friends owns a 300 acre farm in Kentucky & we go down every year for dinner/ cook-out/ bbq/ drink fest/ knife googling/ tree cutting get together. This will probably be the last year because all of our children have flown the coop (rock star / housewife / world explorer). But the tree will be the only thing that will be missing out of the above events . . . :)
Be safe.

About $35 for a nice farm-raised tree from the nearby Big-R (a chain of ranch supply stores).

First time in a while that trees have been available for sale locally. The last few years we've gone a tree stand in Pueblo. They always have beautiful trees but they cost significantly more. Plus the price gas to drive to Pueblo and back with a truck.

I don't plan on buying a tree, but I get the feeling that the wife ill force the issue, so I voted for $10-$30. Actual will be the Lowes $19.95 special, if anything.

$17 bucks for an eighteen footer! ....just had to cut it down ourselves....
