Your Airgraver looks like it hits pretty hard. I have a GRS System 3, and it's pretty gentle as far as impact.
The NGraver whacks pretty hard, though!

Between the adjustable stroke length, adjustable drive pressure and standard/heavy pistons, it hits as light or hard as I can possibly need:thumbsup::D

It really is a marvel of simplicity with a touch of magic;)
 
No shellac?
I have never used hot melt glue to hold work in place. Looks like it worked well.
Does it just peel off?
 
Did some anodizing today on the Stryduhr, the textured background is a dark blue to simulate the "blacking out" that engraving traditionally gets, with bronze on bare titanium for the rest.
