So I stood there waiting...

I've been carrying a 110 auto since I got it for Christmas of '18. I carry it 90+ % of the time. Today I'm carrying a Puma stag folder (I think a 341). I took it out earlier to cut something and I just stood there waiting for it to open. The Puma is a nice knife but man I like my auto.

Maybe I'm just old and lazy...

Sounds like a line from Poe. :)

I've never had a Puma lockback. But I've heard the were "smoother" than a comparable Buck and Schrade lockback.

Waiting??? Even the auto you still have to push the button. Or were you trying to push it continuously. Lol

State laws prohibit me from carrying a 110 auto, I love my two handed openers but I would probably try an auto Gent if they made it.

A 55 Auto would be cool and probably within the limits of they made one.

it's a shame any state thinks any cutting tool with a spring and its size is really any different than any other similar one. kinda silly but many laws are, even many laws here.

55 too small for my tastes but an auto one would be kinda cool and good for ya cali fellas. I'm all for it for y'all, until things change and ya can have a 110 auto.

I would imagine the odds of a cop who would give a knife a second look would be extremely low.

I can carry a 119 or say a Mk2 like the Ontario 498 on my hip if I want, but if a folder is going to be automatic it had to be small. I love my small knives but if course I see how ridiculous and dumb it is.

Autos really aren't something I've ever had much interest in, but a 55 Auto I'd pay attention and a little 305 Auto in their standard 420Hc I'd scoop up in a heartbeat.

A 112 Auto is about as small as I would go. Any smaller and building it would be way too laboring for the return.

I had one when I was a kid. It was about an inch long when closed and it was an auto that worked but cheaply made.

I think I need to get a 112 auto, only decision would be which blade steel. Do any of you steel experts have an idea of the degree of saltwater corrosion resistance of S30V vs. 420HC? OH

When you carry something for 350 outa 400 days it's function just becomes natural. When the 110 comes out of the sheath, its open. I don't even think about the button. That's what makes me like it the most. It's there and ready to do it's job.

Are you guys carry the 501 in a sheath? Since the 110 and 112 have no safety Buck agreed to build but there had to be a special sheath built so the button wasn't pushed in the pocket. Not a matter of if, but when.it would be deployed otherwise.

Or you could eliminate pushing a button at all. No wait time! :)
