So I wana buy a busse....

Gotcha. Thanks!

That's kind of what I suspected. It's not a "catalog" by Busse but rather a historical Cliff's Notes by a collector showing everything they could find ;) ever produced by Busse.

Many of the knives are old, one-off's, etc.

Nicely done, but not a company catalog of what is available.

Currently:

Busse Combat: Scotch Dispenser. Coming soon? Anniversary Steel Heart One.

Busse Company Store: Game Wardens, right now. Maybe some Flat, Fat Fusion Battle Mistresses soon. Maybe some more Badger Attack Tac's.

Swamp Rat: Ice Pick, Mini Mojo, Mini Uncle Mojo. Maybe some more Ratweilers and Swamp Wardens coming soon.

Scrap yard: It looks like nothing is available now.

busseknives.rtf - 2.49MB

I'll just post it for all to see (turns out it isnt a *.doc, but *.rtf, what ever)

Gotcha, it is catalogesque though

Hey OldP, maybe its just my bad looking skills, but I cant find the warranty info on either of the pages you linked to

I took a fast look and saw it wasn't as easy I remembered ... see my Post up the chain a bit. Put more info for you there.

Jerry's warranty is simple, short, and straightforward. No 'lawyerese' -- no way to wiggle out of it.

I like it.

Actually, only the Scrap Yard site spells out the warranty. The SRKW is pretty out of date and the Busse site, while it may have warranty info, I didn't immediately see it. That said, I think you'll find the warranty stated by Scrap Yard is pretty universal for all three:

"Our guarantee is simple. We warrant your knife against any and all unintentional MAJOR damage for life. The Scrap Yard guarantee is on the knife and NOT just for the original owner."
Sketchbag - I think you missed this earlier in the thread.

Thanks, PM!

You can also find it on Jerry's main site. Just look into his steel descriptions. Toward the end, just before The Man's name, he spells out his simple but powerful warranty.

I think people miss it because they expect the usual long, convoluted, involved legalese. But that's not Jerry.

If you want Infi and Resiprene-C, look for a Basic 7 or Basic 9.

They are made of modified Infi which is slightly less corosion resistant but otherwise has most of the performance of Infi.

These are long discontinued, Swamp Rat was created to fill the void, now Swamp Rat is making full tang micarta handled knives so Scrap Yard was created to fill the old Swamp Rat void.

I just sold a Camp Tramp for $245. They do show up reasonably often. Go to the Exchange forum and search on "Tramp" for price history. The CT will cost less than the original Ratweiler. The new RW can be had on the Exchange for $220 - $230, which is very close to the original retail. Figure they paid $199 + 15 shipping to them + 10 to you, and they are not making anything.

SR101 is very close to INFI in performance, the average person will not use a knife hard enought to tell the difference.

I now have KAAK's user FSH, that was an exceptional bargain at $350. Frequently the good guys here will pass along a knife for little or no profit, (like the guy who sold it to me ) those sales tend to happen behind the scenes, but every once in a while some bargains do pop up, either here or on eBay. I scored a stripped Basic 7 there for $200.

Good luck in your quest!
