  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

So I watch a lot of movies...

not sure if any of you have heard but camillus has a new line of les stroud knives to compete with the B.G gerber. they are using carbontride titanium in the knives

No more Dual Survivor. Daves too busy with his school. He doesn't need the publicity and he'd rather teach. So theyd have to find Cody a new partner.

I don't think I've ever seen one in a movie. Maybe not even a normal series. I know Hawke uses all different types of blades, which I like about him. I know Dave is really busy, but I didn't think he was too busy for Dual Survival. It's a great way to get his name, his school, and the stuff he does out there to the world. Alot of people don't go on YouTube or the internet for that matter. Everyone watches TV. He already stated that if they were going to do another seson of Dual Survival, he'd definately be down for it. I seem to recall hearing something that Cody was actually working on designing his own knife with some company. Looked just like a Mora, just like the one Les Stroud did with Helios or whatever it was.

Anyways, OT, I'd love to see more Beckers in movies, commercials, anything. I don't even see ads at gunshops/outdoor shops around here. Which is very sad. We don't have knife shops, so that's completely out of the question. Thing is, they are work knives, that work for a living. They don't need advertisement. They do what they are supposed to do. No BS.

Thats not what he told me over the campfire. He said he missed his family too much and would rather teach. He already has a following and has to add class dates because they overbook. He really doesn't need DS at this point. DS hasn't been on for a while now, and his school and his schedule as growing like crazy. He's not really into the whole cult of personality TV star thing. He's a really down to earth guy. He's got all sorts of animals and self sufficient stuff going on at his school now, which he can't deal with if he's gone 7 months out of a year.

i'm led to believe the knives are a quality 440 coated with titanium [carbon]nitride..., which is a tough coating. peculiar to put on a knife that's already stainless, but there you are. the chinese seem to love that stuff and can do it for a song. pity too, cuz i'd love to send some carbon knives out for some gold treatment :>

Its also frequently applied to drill bits it doesn't just help with corrosion it helps reduce friction as well.

There was a Becker in the Ghadafi video when they caught him. Well you could see the handle at least...

It wasn't the one they stabbed him in the hind end with was it? That would be aweful

I don't think I'd like to see Becker's on film unless it was a quick cameo or used by the coolest of characters. For example, take a look at Benicio Del Toro in The Hunted... would you want a Becker portrayed so non-realistic like the TBT? Or anyone in the movie The Expendables because really that would be just terrible. I think one of the best uses of product placement regarding a knife was on NCIS when DiNozzo and Gibbs have a beer and a steak and both pull out ZTs to cut the steak with. That's the type of placement a Becker needs, nothing super flashy or gaudy.
