I had the screws flying yesterday. Did you see how deep that nine bit into that old dry cedar? That damn thing astounds me every time I chop with it.

I like Komperdells usually and Kay likes Lekis. Here lately we've been using wooden ones for the day hikes. Two hiking poles makes you 4WD and with any serious weight, that's important.

Lots of folks like their Lekis, but I'm with tradewater. I've been using a pair of anti-shock Komperdells for years.

In all honesty Luke, the ones Walmart sells are pretty damn good. They even have an antishock one (I think). They are made by one of the big outfits I'm sure.

The one I have is from Wally. I have nothing to compare it to, but it seems to do okay.
