Even after selling or trading away almost 2 dozen on the past month or so, I've still got a CRK or 2 underfoot.... :D

I tucked them all back into thief boxes for a pic. I left out about a half dozen that are still on the block, and another half dozen that I left in my safe deposit box. So here goes.......

Mandis and inlayed Sebs. I brought the Mnandi collection down by half, keeping only 2 lefty-righty pairs and 3 fairly collectible ones. One is a numbered in BG-42. My Jigged Rosewood isn't in the pic. The inlayed Sebs I pared down pretty drastically, keeping only the very figured ones like my 2 Box Elders, 3 Lignum Vitaes, a small African Blackwood, and of course my River of Fire. That one's in the unmarked box. The Blackwood was my first CRK, I sold it once, got it back, traded it away, got it back again, now it's here to stay. There's one of my Annuals, The Owl, in the pic. The other is in my deposit box.

Next up is my plain Ti collection. 2 Ti-Locks, 5 Zaans, several Sebs. In the Zaans I have all 3 versions, with an extra old pivot with lockbar one. That one happens to be the smoothest Zaan I've ever handled, so I keep it. There's also a numbered tanto. The Sebs are a 25, a P, a pair of BG-42 Classics, and several Regulars. The unmarked box is holding a lefty-righty pair of BG-42 small Regulars. No plain 21's in the pic, although I have a couple on the block.

Now we have my real CRK love, graphics! My Rado damascus, my Sapphire Night Sky, my autographed box UG, and a couple others aren't in this pic, but you get idea here.... The 2 unboxed Regulars are BG-42. The small has a box and birth card, I just don't know where I put them at the moment. :o There is on bow in this pic by mistake, the large Micarta with Raindrop should be in with the inlayed Sebs.

I should probably quit teasing and go to bed now. :p

I thought I had a problem with the 6 that I own! You have enough to start a respectable knife shop! Oh my...... I'd take a couple of those if you get tired of them!

Too many options! I'd really like a Ti-lock, Honduran rosewood inlay mnandi, and that large micarta raindrop! Seriously though, It would be hard to say of those three.

Those aren't in the last pic! :p :p :p :p

I'm jealous!

Am I the only one who throws away the boxes and everything (everything but the knife tool and lube..)?

I would say your in the minority anyway! Your resale value is greatly improved when you include everything in a sale.

Wow, Lone_Wolfe that is one of the more impressive collections I've seen(or seen boxes of :p ).

I take it that last pic is the 'for sale' pile.

I keep all my boxes too.

Yeah, that either are or are going to be, listed.

And I should have done this before I started the herd thinning!

May I ask how long you've been collecting CRKs?
Also, out of curiosity, which of your many do you favor for EDC?

That Umnum wouldn't be old style pivot would it?

Been collecting about 5 years now. Besides what you see, I've sold or traded away about another 50-60.

4 of the 5 Zaans have the old pivot. 2 with LBS, 2 without.

5 years and you've probably got more CRKs in possession than most knife dealers, now that is dedication.

4 out of 5, you like the old style pivot better? I like the look but is it functionally any different?

I've got a new style, but have never used it. I can't feel any difference just messing with it. I've got one of the older ones that's been my favorite since the day I got it, it's the only Zaan I use.

I can understand that. I haven't used my Umnum much now that I've got my 25 dialed in. I do like the looks of the old style pivot on the Umnum and am considering going after one but have to pace myself. Hopefully I'm able grab one when it becomes available but I'm in no rush.
I'm enjoying this 21 lately but am considering a carbon fiber 25 vs a 21 in the near future so I'll probably rotate them once I settle in to Alaska.

I haven't warmed up to the idea of a CF. They seem like they wouldn't be as grippy, and my hands need grippy. I just got a 25, that's nice knife.
