So, lemme see if I got this right...

your vision may or may not be a problem. depends on the agency.

if ANY part of the knife is visible, it is not concealed imo.

For NCIS I did cosulting for props, also made a few customs knives for props. Take a close look at the folders the team carries. Something tells me you will see A LOT of Kershaw AOs ;)

I don't do anything in Az basically because the laws are too common sense. No wierd twists or turns to it. In a state where you can strap a gun to your hip for a trip to Walmart, no one cares much about knives.

Yeah, I worked as a Fed LEO. Not as big a deal as it sounds. I was with the D.O.D.P.D. we mostly provided physical security to sensitive Gov shipments and areas. We also provided civilian oversite to Military Operations. They liked having LEOs who are not in a military chain of command. It was mostly paperwork oriented but we had a fair number of disorderlys, petty thieft, assualts, trespassing, DomViolence, stolen property, missing weapons. The biggest we had occurred one week before I was stationed with this team. Two whole DEA evidence bunkers were cleaned out. Machine guns, 55gal drums of Meth, tons of ammo, body armor, NVGs and a whole mess more just walked out of the base.

Like was said, your eyes may or may not be an issue. It will be less of an issue if they correct to 20/20 with contacts.

Yes, generally speaking, if any part of a knife can be seen, it is not considered concealed. It can vary, but that is the rule of thumb.

Yeah, in that one episode where the director was kidnapped, I think the older brother used a Kershaw, lol.

You can walk to wal mart with a gun on you in plain sight without a permit or anything? IMO, that's kinda a little too unrestricted, if it's just assumed if you own a gun, it's cool to walk around strapped.

What about low rider clips? Like ones where you can't see the knives at all?

Once again Clark and MORIMOTOM, I am sure glad to have you 2 close just incase a cop gets cocky with 653k.

Arizona is an open carry state. You need a CCW to carry concealed but you can openly carry so long as you are at least 21 and can legally own a firearm.

15yrs or so ago you used to see alot of open carry. Now, with CCWs being availible, I have not seen a single open carry in at least 9 months.

As to the clip issue. It is a judgement call on your part. You need to decide if the average person would be able to tell that the clip is part of a knife. Considering I don't know anyone who carries a pen clipped in thier pocket and also considering pretty much everyone has seen knives clipped in such a manner, I automatically assume that a clip means a knife or a small pistol.

well, i certainly do not act in the same capacity as mr. clark does.

but on the other end, i enforce 653k as interpreted here.
