A few weeks ago, I saw a Spyderco Military for sale in the exchange that had some work done to it. I wanted a similar treatment done to mine so I contacted the seller for the customizer's info.

So-Lo was the one who did the work (SolosKnifeReviews on Youtube), and he kept very good communication with me via phone and email to keep me updated of progress and to really determine what I really wanted. He really took care of my knife, a CPM-M4 Ti Military that has become one of my favorite knives to own. I used the parts from 2 different Militaries, so he understood how special this was. I use this knife, and it was starting to get fine scratches on the blade that I wanted to be addressed, among other things.

Given the non-stainless characteristic of CPM-M4, he gave the blade a patina and tumbled it, rounded the spine a bit, bead-blasted the clip while leaving the underside shiny, and polished the edge making it scary sharp.

Turnaround was very good, and I got it back about a week or so after sending it out. I included a pre-paid label for him to ship it back the same way. As I understand it, he's getting quite busy but I'm sending him a couple more knives to do.

Hope you enjoy the pics, I sure enjoy carrying and using the Millie even more.

..funny, before you ended up with that scale, I contacted him about possibly putting a carbon fiber inlay in the middle to give it a double bolster look. Point is, from just a couple emails, he seemed genuinely nice. Too bad he won't be doing g10 for a while. I wanted to send him my xhp millie..picture 3/4 backspacer integrated into the scale, contoured smooth, chain ring bolts..much like Strider cc. So-lo?

Nice, that integrated backspacer will be sweet. I want to replace mine with standoffs, hopefully the ones I ordered will work. I am sending him a couple more knives, a Gayle Bradley and a Greco, for some custom G10. He's not going to do G10 until next year, so I told him to work on the other stuff first, no rush.
