Just figured I was missing something as they are being put up left and right for sale.

Nothing that I know of is coming soon. I just think that people get the 0560, realize its not for them and want to recoil their money and not have an unused $260 knife lying around. Personally I would never sell my 0560.

The 0777, 0888, 0600, 0780, and 0560cf are coming probably in the next year. I doubt that's the reason for the 0560s on the secondary market though. My guess is that when the 056x came out, people snatched up as many as possible because at the time, prices on the secondary market were quite high and the knives themselves were quite hard to find. Now that the demand has reached a bit of a plateau and prices have come back down, many people who picked one up simply because it was trendy are now dumping them to make room for the next big thing rather than having a $260 knife sitting in a drawer.

i think its either doubles/who purchased them hoping to take advantage of the market and make a buck... now that dealers are getting shipments in... its time to ditch them.

Most likely this.....

Either that or the new knife smell wore off.

I think people Either realize its overkill for them/Don't use it/or it to big. Also agree with Jaiofspam ..

Seems like many 0560 were sold, so we are naturally going to see many end up on B/S/T. I think thats true of any high volume knife. I too had one and sold it, just because it didn't float my boat and thats a lot of money to be tied up in something that I don't really dig. Most folks seem to think very highly of the knife, though.

Ok, thanks. Was totally confused by how many were out there for sale and figured I must be out of touch with some reality. Beautiful knife, just is way huge for me. The 0350 is even pushing it, but I am keeping it. :)

That's exactly why I traded mine away. It was a very impressive knife but I felt it was too big for me to EDC and didn't really fit into my use patterns.

I just bought on on here and from what I have read, the size of the knife was one thing that a lot of folks apparently didn't like. In my case, I am buying it so that I can study the mechanics of the knife and use it as my "car knife" to replace my old but beloved original plain edge liner lock AFCK which is now my "desk knife." My "pocket knife" is still my Mark Sentz small Bill Moran style lock back but that one may get retired at some point because I don't want to ding it up.

I wanted a 560 but ended up with a 550. The 550 is a bit thinner and shorter and lighter but is still too heavy for me to EDC in my very casual, relaxed style of living. The hardest thing I do is drive to Lowe's. I am carrying a "Zaan" right now, and often a PM2. The PM2 is really the perfect knife for my style of living but I enjoy the Umnumzaan also.
It seems to me that everyone loves their ZT's, but many posters say they are left at home simply because they're too large/heavy for many owners.

I agree all valid points as to the influx of 0560's in the secondary market. In the beginning it was simple supply and demand, it was a highly sought after knife that a lot of people expressed wanting but couldn't easily find. People swooped them up when they could to make an extra buck, I was one of them and couldn't believe what people were asking for them at 'the auction sites'. Lately more and more vendors have received stock and you can get it now at MSRP, holders had to get rid of them.

Also very valid is the fact that you just had to buy it and see what all the hoopla was knowing that if you didn't like it you could sell it and get what you paid for it. That seems to be more fact here on the forums, I didn't notice too many gougers selling there 0560's just getting back what they paid after trying it out. It's definitely not for everyone it is quite big for EDC, but for me it's a keeper and I usually don't carry such large EDC's. It is big, but carries smaller if that makes any sense, it's thin for it's size I guess at least for me...

This was my first thought. Lots of people thought they were going to make a profit thinking they wouldn't be readily available this soon.

Sold mine because it really was overkill for what I did. I'm really hoping for a smaller folder from ZT someday.

If big folders quickly get sold on the used market, then why don't you see tons of 0300 series ZTs out there? What gripes me is that every time I look on BF I see someone questioning their 0560/0561 with some issue of fit and finish. Perhaps that is the reason, that there are bugs to be worked out still. I personally would be pissed at plunking down 260 sheckles and getting F/F issues. And then subsequently the poster gets semi reamed for not loving unconditionally his knife with issues- its the "emperor's new clothes". So I am patiently waiting for the kinks to be worked out so I can buy one. Im a ZT fan, and own 3 of them now and plan to buy that awesome looking RJ Martin collab knife- that sucker is the bomb.

We are all essentially like a bunch of elementary school children trading baseball cards. That is how I see it.

I have been seriously thinking about selling mine ever since Thomas showed us pictures of the RJ Martin design.

My attention span for most knives can only be measured in nano-seconds.:D:thumbup:

Because the 300 series has been out for years now and everyone that has wanted one has already owned it? I"ve seen plenty of them for sale. I've actually bought 2 of them used on these forums.

BTW the ZT560 I sold was perfect and had no problems at all. For whatever reason I keep getting attracted to big knives even though the love affair only lasts a short time.
