I order myself a 7,10,11 and a 16 :) I just got back from a 5 day 4wding and camping trip . So I'm gonna leave it for tomorrow to place the order. Unfortunately , the group I was with freaked at the sight of someone using a SAK , so I had to keep my EDC bk14 , in my pocket , and my 17 and fiskars hatchet in my bag. Edited to add a few details

Wow... If someone freaked at the sight of a SAK on a camping trip near me i'd belt carry my kukri machete for the rest of the stay just because...

Yeah it was pretty sad , they kept looking for firewood but not one of them thought to bring a chainsaw or even an axe or hatchet. Not even a machete.

Awe it really sucks that you had to endure such....hipsterness.

At the first sign of fear of a SAK, the guy gets sent home to his momma dressed in his unicorn outfit.

Just sayin' :D

Yeah Well I went with my dad , and my nephew. We were camping with a camper trailer , chemical toilet , and portable shower. Same as the rest of the group. Unfortunately I live with my dad , and he's very anti knife , and it was his 4 wd and setup we went in, So I thought I better not rock the boat of the 4wd club he's attached to. Still I felt ok with myself knowing what was in my pack , in case some of those guys truely couldn't manage to get some firewood , or get a fire going , or collect / treat water. It's all last ditch gear in the bag I brought. We were never not within driving distance of supplies anyway. I still had fun , we collected dead fall twigs and branches and logs for the fire each night. I'm a bit disappointed in my nephew , he spent the the whole time in and out of the 4wd with his head in his friggin iPad. Kids these days

I have a hard time imagining how someone could be "anti-knife".
Australia is a very strange place. I glad there are folks like you you over there to keep it real!

My dad used to be very anti-knife as well, cause he didn't understand, he thought of all knives as weapons. I got him a spyderco Ladybug, or it might have been even smaller and got him used to that and proved all knives are not weapons. Now it's to the point when I get a small "cute" blade he thinks I got them for him. He was really sad when he saw the Daizee Dashi and found out it wasn't for him. He's gonna be SUPER disappointed when he sees my hornet.

I have no doubt that they were concerned! All those knives are far too small to be carrying in Australia. :D

Yeah I am confused too about the anti knife thing. How exactly does that work? What would you prepare food with? Open boxes? Carve wood? Sharpen a pencil? Cut a seat belt with in a flipped 4x4 that is on fire and the guy belted himself in?

Are you in that country called the Down Under that also banned Guns? Now people are onto crying about knives? I never heard of a 4x4 club that didn't involve knives, guns, and alcohol. Really, the 4x4 guys are afraid of a SAK? Was it a gaggle of women? Seriously I am really, really confused about this situation.

Sorry to be blunt, but I am a contractor and just got off a long FUBAR job so there you have it. I am tired of whinny pants people being anti about knives and guns. These people need to grow a pair and let the rest of us enjoy what we enjoy.

People say they are "anti-knife", but the fact is the average adult uses a knife every single day. They just don't think about their kitchen knives, or even butter knives (even dull ones are still knives) as "knoifes". My sister freaks every time I open a folder, even when I'm 10 feet away, yet just loves the cheap Henckel's kitchen set I gave her years ago. And I can walk right into my kid's elementary school with a 9" santoku in my pocket (we bag fruit and veg for the kids a few days a week) but you can bet they'd freak if my 9 were hanging off my belt. People aren't anti-knife, they're just anti-"anything that doesn't look like a kitchen knife", I think, or anti-"carrying a knife in public" or some such. When someone feels the need to question one of the first tools ever invented by human beans, I just try to point out that people have been carrying edged tools since the human race learned to walk on two feet. Or just hand them a watermelon and a spoon and ask them to cut a few slices. What? You'll need a knife? But those are so dangerous!

Cool. Post pictures when you get your new knives. Sorry for the earlier rant. Probably not best to post something right after one of those days at work. Hehe..:D

I agree with all above comments...i wish it would be ok to wear large knives in public...hell,you can wear guns on your belt in arizona and you know what crime rate is lower than any other states.people tempt to forget that a knife is also a TOOL,not only a weapon.and i can promise that i ll do similar damage to your eyes and jugular or such with a fork.i was lucky enough to have cool parents that didn t care if we had large knives growing up,as long as we didn t stab each other...

I have only one question.....................

Is the order placed or not???? haha

That's gonna be a nice haul.

And I don't hang around people who don't like knives. It's to hard to convince those kinda people that knives are safe in the hands of trained individuals.
