Lol. I'm not saying alcohol was involved, but alcohol might have been involved.I cut myself profusely twice the first day I owned my Sebenza. Where I ran into trouble was closing the blade--my index finger slipped off the blade while trying to close it and then quickly slid back up and was cut pretty bad, and the second cut was on my thumb cuticle and I was 4 IPA's deep playing with my knife...wasn't paying attention so not sure how that one happened. Word of advice, don't cut yourself after drinking 4 IPA's or you'll never stop bleeding!

I have a funny story... I received my first pocket knife when I was 15. It was a Victorinox purchased at Montgomery Wards if anybody remembers that ancient relic of a department store. The day I got it I went outside across the street to the woods with my dog, grabbed a piece of Oak or Maple off a tree and sliced the tip of my thumb off to the bone.
Thankfully the scar is still there to remind me that I was once young and that moment will forever be imbedded in my memory like the acid etched pattern of finely forged Damascus steel.
Wow. Been handling various knives since the 1970's, never had a serious wound. Only five or six superficial cuts. Have also parachuted five times, ocean surfed, and still ride a motorcycle, with no crashes or injuries. Never really been seriously injured. Lucky? Who knows? Certainly try to be careful. Hope posting this does not change my luck, Mr. Murphy...;-)
In that case, just light the blood/alcohol on fire. That will cauterize the wound.
