So my girlfriend learned a lesson today...blood

Was making a stop cut in an alder with my large plain jane seb 21 and the stick broke with my hand too close to the notch, it cut to the bone..... On the bonus side, the doctor seemed very impressed as to the quality of my knife :P

Edit: sorry for the sideways pic

That notch is killer in the sebbie....sometimes I feel like I really need to watch my P's & Q's around this knife...It doesn't have the safeguards of, say, my PM2. Chris Reeve should add "Pay Attention" to his slogan.

Ok, here's mine. It happened at work, wasn't paying attention obviously and since I didn't have time to go to the doctor I put superglue on it, which formed kind of a shell. When I got home I took a shower and the glue came off and I was left with this

And no, I didn't die of infection, I had it looked at and healed pretty good :)

A doctor couldn't do anything for that except wash it out. Nice!

one time i was sharpening a buck 110 with the lansky system and my pinky slipped of the ston half way through a stroke and it sliced all the way to my pinky nail. it went in 1/8 in.
sorry i don't have a pic.

So your magicblade made the top of your finger disappear.

Yup, I was in the woods with some friends too. Camping last winter in the North GA mountains. We were way too deep to get out to a hospital, I was out of the enrollment period for health insurance, and our super glue was dried up in the tube. Duct tape around gauze held it together all night, kept it clean, and it scarred up and closed with some butterfly bandages! Bone deep, but healed up and left my "watch hand" with a super villain-esque scar :D

The pic I posted was after days of healing...

This was the result of a work slip up with a 5-in-1...7 stitches. Not a clean slice by any stretch!

Haven't cut myself badly on a knife since forever.

However, in the last 7 days I have: crushed one fingertip in a dodgy door, drawn blood right after saying the immortal words "I won't put the blade covers back on, I'll just..." on our combat robot, and somehow crushed a fingertip on the other hand on the keyless chuck of my drill due to holding wire cutters and trying to change the bit.

Add to that lots of glass from deheading a cheap axe, & my hands have had a rough few days!

LPT: insulation tape is great for sealing yourself back up! Close the wound and apply with good pressure. You can even wrap it around to suit the wound size, & it doesn't stick to the skin too much.

Sorry, all I picked up from that was 'combat robot'. [emoji7]
