If the size isn't an issue the CRKT Drifter would be a pretty solid choice. The overall F&F and lock up is pretty impressive for a 20 dollar knife.

It depends. The hawk bill and Persian patterns are quite task specific, whereas the others are good general purpose knives. Perhaps the process of elimination will work.

Cross out CRKT knives as I don't trust the quality.
Cross out the Volt as it is partly serrated.
Cross out the Clash as it is a re-curve.
That leaves the Nerve and the OSO Sweet.
Cross out the Nerve for it's unusual thumb plate and that leaves, drum roll please, - The OSO Sweet.

That said, if you feel you could use a hawk-bill pattern, the Byrd Crossbill is a well made knife, worth far more that it's asking price, IMO.

The only one I have is the Asset. It is pretty awesome for a $20 knife, BUT it is just ok compared to other Kershaw's, and i would take a Skyline over it any day. I am also leaning more towards non assisted openers myself, but do like flippers a lot. I have handled a Clash, and it has that hard plastic feel. I am not crazy about that, and I think some of the other Kershaw's you have listed also have that plastic feeling handle. Not

Is the Asset the Persian style? I have one and do see it as not versatile as my other knives.

...aren't you choosing one for your work? lots of cardboard boxes to break down?

go for the volt 2; those serrations will make the job a lot easier; rrrrrip through the cardboard like butter LOL...

OSO is my pick, and I still want one. Aren't most of those other knives smaller than the OSO?
