SO out of these knives what would you pick?

Nerve would be my pick, because it is the only one that has both a practical design, and a pocket clip that doesn't make me wanna barf...

I just got a CRKT M16 and CRKT M21 in the mail today. I'd also be interested to hear why there's a lack of trust for their products. They seem pretty beefy and well put together (I like weight to a tool, makes me feel in control of it, like i can use it how it was meant to be used instead of being too cautious and careful).

I love the Asset personally. If I had to choose another I'd go with the Clash, I like the beefiness of the clip and the blade shape. I like tip up, and I noticed some of them don't have that option, so that's something to consider if it's important to you.

CRKT Has Okay Products.
They Make Great Low Priced Beaters.
Some Of Them Aren't The Best.
But The Ones Mentioned Are Pretty Decent.

I Would Get The Crossbill Honestly. I Used To Have One.
I Gave It To My Sister And She Loves It.

I Think If You Plan On Getting Them All, Just Get Something A Little More Expensive.

My Spyderco Persistence Is My Beater Knife And Holds Up Through Anything.

But I Am Looking At Getting The Volt 2, But Plain Edge.

idk about getting them all lol i said that in a one of those wow look what 20 bucks gets ya moments. But ill prob get like 2 or 3 of them anyways, always good to have somethin in a glove box first aid kit and so on

I would pick the Crossbill with combo edge but great $20 knife to me is always a Victorinox Camper or similar. So useful around the house, out in town, in the woods, etc. It's much more of a beater in my opinion than a normal $20 folder since you can use the soft, strong tools to do the things that are iffy with normal folders.

Kershaw Asset. I have a JYD II, which I thought would be a great pocket knife. It turns out it's hard to get that wide blade behind anything I wanted to cut. It's great if you're digging into something but it's a pain to try to get behind something and cut outwards. I like the Asset's narrow blade and swept cutting edge, that would probably do a great job of cutting just about anything for me.

Lately I've been getting into thinner, narrower, more flexible blades with more of a belly and less of a spine.

I guess it depends on what you're using it for.

I like the JYD II for breaking down boxes, but not for removing the wishbone from a chicken. I carve birds a lot more often than I break down boxes. Use determines the tool.

It looks pretty Persian to me. :)

I was not questioning your knowledge, but actually looking for a description of what Persian style is. I am familiar with hawk bill, clip point, drop point etc, but not Persian style. Sorry for the confusion, your description and interpretation of Persian style would be appreciated.

Are we just picking the one we like the looks of?

Or, do you have some cutting tasks in mind?

If So, what are these tasks?

Thanks for posting pics.
The only one of those I have is the OSO Sweet and I like it, but it is more of a toy than an EDC. I also agree that it may be better to save and just by one or two better knives.

Agreed. I'm a bit lost here too. You got hawkbills, recurves, trailing edges, different steels, different locks, etc etc etc.

Without any more information, all I can throw out is that if you want a general purpose knife, a hawkbill ain't that.

Ok. We are getting somewhere.

Why are those knives the ones we are choosing from? Are they the knives in a certain price range that you have found? Are they available locally to you? Are they styles you like?

They just seem random.
