Well, the heading pretty much says it, except that I'm curious about the non-Spyderco pieces you have, obviously you have every Spyderco made, or can get one.

Brian - Yes, I guess I'm a bit of a junkie.

I have a collection consisting of the first (or close to it) serrated knife that a custom maker has made. Probably 35 pieces.

I have a collection of Bali-Songs, mostly Lester's (Pacific Cutlery), mostly latchless. Many blade syles; Weehawk, Stilleto, Kris, etc., several handle styles and materials and a few prototypes.

I have a number of Bill Bagwell Bowie pieces, as well as a variety of custom and production fixed blades, mostly fighters.

I have quite a few of Lynn's (Cold Steel) upper end pieces.

I have many oddballs as well; Benchmade, Microtech, Rekat, Speedtech, Chris Reeve customs, etc.

I have many pieces made by Japanese makers.

And I have each of the Spyderco's (#8).

Hmmm... not sure, but the number "8" in Chinese means "money"... hehehe... That's why I see some rich people here with their car's plate number having triple 8's.

Then again, I'm also curious, Sal.. Why #8?

So, Sal - You going to get a Sifu?

------------------
I mean, if I went around saying I was an Emperor because some
moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, people would put me away!

#8 is a racing number from when I was a younger kid. (looks the same upside down)

I will probably get a Sifu. Bob is a friend of mine. Saw the early proto of the Sifu many moons ago. More for collection than carry. For blades over 4" for carry, I prefer fixed blade.

#8 is good, you can't go wrong with #8. However 168 is even better, basically it means "get rich all the way". If you ever come to Los Angeles, pay attention to license plates here, you should see some with "xxxx 168", xxxx usually is the last name. And I'll bet you a quater, a chinese is driving the car!!
