So since we now have a thin Mistress....

please let it be something fat next... fatties are utterly useless in my eyes, so I could sit that one out and save some cash.

Bring on the Inactive Duty for general release, says me!

What would we call a fat Battle Mistress?

Chubby Concubine?

Gargantuan Goomar (for you Sopranoze fans)

Or just simply Meaty Mistress.

Small fat blades = meh.

I'd prefer a thin blade on something like that.

I just like big heavy choppers. I was looking at a video of the ZTBM and yes it chopped well, but the FFBM and NMFBM chopped a hell of a lot better. I'm a weightlifter, and fighter, I can swing a 10 lb knife all day long.

But different strokes for different folks, I can see the need for a lighter mistress, in fact I still may pick up a Bushwacker, I just want a big thick monster knife too at factory prices.

A .5 Busse would be a heck of a sight for sure. Sadly I know it would bankrupt me to buy one. For example if you took a normal NMFBM CG and then gave it the .5 treatment then the price would have to be up around the $900 mark at least (2 x original price of $467).

However just because I can't afford it doesn't mean I don't want to see it.:D

I have a few .5 inch Khurkies and they are HEAVY.

I don't want to seem rude calling a huge blade useless. I would say you could put Busses into two categories - the tools and the toys. Nothing wrong with wanting to play around with a heavy blade. I myself prefer a lighter blade. Working for long periods with huge Infi will definately give you bursitis.

Gotta agree there, the fatties are neat, but try cutting a fuzz stick or filleting a fish with a .320" thick knife.

I'm hoping to see a NMFSH sometime soon too. Thats a must have knife and the HogMuk too :D

Agreed! My money supply has officially run dry and I don't care for fatties.

That's why you carry two knives, a GW or AD would make a good companion. :D

Thrill is in the chase for some I guess. I'm still waiting for the BW to get here. Chop Chop Chop!

Buy the MOAB, use it and abuse it and figure that it's an investment. If your lucky you'll live long enough and be blessed with grand kids that will ask to borrow it:). Divide the cost over the next @40 years and it won't be half as painful:D

And for the record, I will buy a Bushwhacker, because I'm a sucker for the Mistress'. To the point that I don't think I've ever even used any of the 3 or 4 Steelhearts I've owned (E series, a 5/16" SHSH, a 1/4" SHSH, and a HH). However, I'll admit to being "tempted" to stray by a 1/4" standard scaled FSH...

1. I'm waiting patiently for the KZ, that thing is one of my dream knives.

2. NMFSH... YES!
I like the FSH pattern, almost got one way back when, but a 9" version would be very unique amongst large knives.
