So the family is talking about moving us to Oakland, CA...(Edit: Now San Fran)

In Marin county the knife laws are pretty screwy. Don't quote me as I dont really want to look up the actual codes ATM but in Marin county you may not carry a folder with a blade over 3" on your person within the driver/passenger area in the front of a motor vehicle. However all other conditions aside from BS killing zones (AKA schools) it is generally OK to carry a folder over 3". Once again I do NOT know the codes and am presently way too lazy to look them up so encourage you to consult the proper athorities on knife laws for your particular are as city and county ordnances vary quite a bit in the good 'ol CA.

All that aside the Bay Area is an amazing place that I will always love. Yes there are many places higher on my list than Oakland that I would like to live in but I woulnd't have a problem living there if it were just me and some friends living in a house as opposed to raising a family there.

Hey Noctis, what Surefire do you carry? How did you "customize" it? You mean it's "modded out"? When I first read the book by Pelton(RYP) and he said he carried the Surefire E2D Executive Defender, that's when I started researching the Surefire brand. The one RYP carried is now discontinued but I picked up basically the same light, they just took out the word Executive and replaced it with "LED." Baddest light I've ever carried, better be for $156.00:)

. AND in TECHNICAL LEGAL TERMS California IS an OPEN CARRY state, that being said no way in hell you would be allowed to open carry a firearm in ANY city, county etc.

Brown banned open carry 1/1/12. Which is, I'm horrified to say, the least of the garbage he's been doing.
But I digress.
Constitutional rights, it's been a good run.

To the OT: Enjoy San Fran.

When I saw "Moving to Oakland" in the title I was like "Ohhhhhhhhh boy..."
