So the next question is...... What's you favorite hooch?

I like just plain old beer but every now and then when I get together with my pals from work, we all get a little pirate in us...

That reminds me of a trip to the Irish Lion http://www.irishlion.com not far from the the campus of IU, when I had my first taste of Guinness. (btw, they know how to shamrock a Guiness) It was one of those perfect pirate like events. I know this because the Guiness tasted good there. I'm not sure I would keep stocked up on it at home. A bit warm and dark for my taste. A fun event nonetheless.

Guinness is beer, most of what's sold in the US is something that tastes a little like beer.My favorite thing to do when asked what I want to drink in a restaurant is to ask for Guinness. If they say they don't have it, I say," Well if you are out of beer, I'll have an iced tea."
Laphroaig is my preferred malt, though too smoky/peaty for many people. Macallan 18 is the most drinkable of all scotches. If you can't drink Mc18 you can't drink scotch.

"smoky/peaty" are the words I could not think of to describe Guinness but that's it. I've only had Guinness draft. I've heard that it isn't as tasty out of the bottle.
